Have Bose Solo 5 Series II Model # 418775. Remote is awesome, came with the lithium ion battery installed & worked great right out of the box (no installation required).Does everything the bulky original Bose remote does but love that this one is small and compact & inexpensive as well. A no-brainer purchase.

Works perfectly but if you are trying to change the volume in the dark be forwarned that it's hard to see the buttons and nothing on the remote signifies the buttons from feel or touch alone

My Bose solo 5 sound bar was old and I was worried it wouldn’t work. After losing my original remote I bought this. Pulled the battery plastic pointed it at the sound bar and it worked immediately.

This is a direct replacement for the Bose remote that stopped working on my sound bar after only 13 months and Bose no longer carries a replacement

Bose remote
Just so everyone knows this remote doesn't work with older models even though some of the talking points said it would I could have missed something. Other than that this is a nice and small remote and if it would have worked for me I would have given it more STARS. No disrespect to the company.

Perfect Replacement
I chose this one because other brand reviews mentioned this replacement being larger, more sturdy. They were right. If the Original Bose remote adopted the replacements battery slot.. it'd be perfect. Overall we love the shape, size, feel and battery cover of the new one. It's great for what I paid. It is only $15, so don't be expecting high-end. At the price point, replacing annually should be expected and happily paid.Here's what you get...The new remote has a soft feel to the top, but hard to index the top front from bottom front in a dark room. The top soft cover is also just a sticker, so I expect it to eventually wear or even pull up. Below the bottom 2 buttons you can feel what are cut outs in the plastic below. The battery cover is strudy and locks well (Huge improvement over the original Bose remote). It's just a smidge larger in the hand too.. I personally like that. The bottom plastic is not smooth, more lightly brushed and it stays put. The Bose had a bad habit of sliding off couch arms and getting out of sight. There is no "setup".. pull the plastic battery tab out and it just works. Oh...it seems to have better range than the old one, which had to be an almost perfect straight line to the sound bar to work. This one seems a bit more forgiving if pointed in the general correct direction.Worth the $$... In my books, yes and if/when this one wears out, I'll be buying the same one again.
