*EDIT* it quit working the next day. Returned.First off, the screen isn't going to look photo quality, the e-ink is 4 colors so keeping that in mind, it actually does pretty good. I would say it looks similar to the way the ink looks in a color newspaper. Is it a gimmick? yes. But that's why I wanted it. I get bored with my phone cases and this way I can change up the look a little bit.Just an FYI if you buy it, if the screen glitches while it is transferring just clear your cache and turn on airplane mode and then wait a few seconds and turn it back off. It should work perfectly again. It has only glitched on me once, and I have been messing around with it a ton probably changed 100 pictures.If you are like me, and you get tired of the same old cases, buy this :)

The case is a nice thick case, but the picture honestly looks horrible. It’s so grainy and just looks ugly. I wouldn’t recommend.

Upon receiving the case I realized I really didn’t like the look of it. It fits the iPhone 15 Pro Max perfectly and is made from very high quality materials. I just didn’t like the look of it, not my style. I really liked the e-ink screen though…even if it was a far cry from “full color”. So I started poking around trying to see if there was a way to pop the screen out, I was going to try to remove it and find some use for it. It didn’t take much pressure at all before the glass on the e-ink screen cracked and colored liquid spread over the image. So that makes me question the feasibility of using that on a phone case that will get pretty rough treatment.

The Viyvwine ink screen phone case was a unique find. It uses the same technology they use in some department stores to display prices. The app is easy to use and transfers the photo of your choice to the back of the case on the large display. It fits my iPhone 15 Pro Max perfectly and surprisingly not that bulky. I was able to continue using wireless charging with the case on as well, however it wouldn’t hold via magnet on a MagSafe stand. The protection is fair and it doesn’t protect the front edges of your phone very well, not to mention the entire case is slick and could be easily dropped. One thing we did notice on the photo display is the fact there are no blues in your photos. You have to be choosey in the photos you display on the case itself, or feel free to use one of the included images.

PROS+Case fits well and offers pretty good protection+The ability to upload custom photos to the e-ink display on the case sounded really amazingCONS-The case requires that you use the manufacturer's AI Phone Case app. I had no problem with this till I found out that the app can only be used if you register via providing log-in info & password for your Apple ID or Google account. I didn't want to offer up this sensitive info and tried registering on the app via the email only option. This however did not work since the app kept claiming "SERVER ANOMALY" and refused to proceed.SUMMARYIn order to use this case, the manufacturer necessitates you use their overseas app and essentially provide Apple or Google account log-in credentials. Unless you are comfortable doing this, you cannot use the case's e-ink screen.

The phone case is actually a good phone case. The edged protrude to protect the screen and the material is rubbery enough to protect from drops. The e-ink screen is great. This screen has black, white, red and yellow. The yellow component is a big jump to help image quality from the regular black, white and red screens. The only caveat to this case is that it doesnt support MagSafe. I was able to use wireless chargers with the case on, but the case has no magnets for MagSafe accessories.
