Ace - Over-Ear Headphones (Black)

These sound good, on par with my previous two Bluetooth headphones - A B&O and a Bowers & Wilkins, both more expensive than these, although I did get these at a reduced price. At this point I almost feel that discussions around comparing sound quality are irrelevant, up to a point. They all sound pretty good nowadays, whereas say 5yr+ ago the difference was often marked. Perhaps the bowers had the edge in clarity, the B&O in materials and build. But I can’t say that these suffer by comparison to be honest. Why am I happier with these than either of those two? Firstly, aesthetically for me these are way better. I love their minimalist design and appearance and how their profile hugs closer to my head. For me aesthetics are every bit as important as sound and build. They simply feel as though they have adopted a less-is-more approach and I love it. I love the shiny, dark chrome stems connecting earcups to headband. Unlike the compromised plastic ones on the bowers that cost me £400. They feel sleek, well made and are a joy to handle and use. Ease of use - I hated the fact that merely connecting the bowers to my dap was way too often a struggle - it was that simple fact that eventually angered me enough to decide enough is enough. If that never happened for you I’m happy for you, but for me it was irritating in the extreme. The bowers never felt premium enough for me in any respect to justify firstly the outlay, and secondly to keeping them and feeling always dissatisfied. Of the three the Sonos is the only pair that connects instantly every time with no hesitation. Very important. And the sound? Of the three possibly the lesser-sounding, but I’m picking hairs here - the differences are minor and the Sonos does have the edge in muscularity, which I appreciate. Noise cancellation? Perhaps the lesser of the three, but again, it’s nitpicking because it really is close. You know, all the modern ‘high quality’ Bluetooth headphones are expensive, for me more so than their sound justifies. But it’s swings and roundabouts; I don’t need superlative sound because I’m listening when out and about and in that use case the sound of these various cans is very good and acceptable. But they’re still expensive. I won’t make the mistake of spending £400+ again unless I’m getting something pretty damn excellent. Bearing that in mind, I got these for £269 from Amazon and for that price I think they’re good value for money. £400-ish? If you have the expendable income fine, but it’s pushing it at that price. One note, this is my first experience of using anything by Sonos. I have no use for any of their multi-unit setups, but for this one instance using something made by them, I’m impressed.

These are my first pair of over-ear headphones so I did a lot of research before committing to a purchase. I’ve had Apple AirPods for years and they were great because for my sins, I’m definitely stuck in the Apple money pit so they worked well when I wanted to move between my iPhone and my iPads, very little faff to get them to change which device they were synced to. Downside - I found they weren’t always that comfortable and they’re not the best for noise cancelling background noise. I did have a look at the AirPods Max and there’s a lot of great reviews for them, but I also think there’s a lot to be said for choosing a product where the company’s core focus is producing great quality sound. There were a few less positive reviews for the Ace as they’re a newer product, but I decided to take the plunge and they are absolutely worth every penny. I bought them back in August and today (just over 3 months later) is the very first time I’m charging them after relatively frequent use including a round trip from London to New York where I used them solidly for the whole duration of both flights. I’d say I’ve got around 40-45 hours out of the battery, which is way more than the 30 they advertise. I’ve had no issues at all with connectivity - you download the Sonos app, press a button on the headphones and you’re good to go. Each time you use them after, you just need to press the button to connect/disconnect. The only time it’s slightly clunkier is if I’m switching between devices, i.e. moving from listening on my iPhone to listening on my iPad, I sometimes have to go into the app on the other device to get it to register but it happens too infrequently for me to really consider it ‘a problem’. They’re comfortable, lightweight and come in a case that’s easy to transport. Noise cancellation is fantastic! Again, using them on a flight made me appreciate just how noisy flights are because I could hear so little of the background noise when I was using these that I now feel like I’d just want to put these on even if I wasn’t listening to music. They were discounted (around £60 off full price) when I bought them but I’d still buy them again even if it meant paying full price. They’re also great for phone calls, I’ve had no problem hearing calls clearly or callers hearing me so I can confidently say I’d never go back to using AirPods now. In fact, it’s been so long since I’ve used mine I don’t even know where they are. Ignore any of the doubters around these, they are brilliant!

Uni student, previously owned Bang and Olufsen EQ, H3, HXs. They were great but noise cancelling was lacking and circular earcups too small for me. Loved by Bowers and Wilkins PX7 S2e but had a whining noise in the right ear cup so had to return. Finally saved enough to treat myself during christmas. Didn't fancy the Sony's or Bose offerings as they have been around for ages, and AirPods Max's havent been updated with new internals in 5 years. I already own a Sonos Move 2 and love it so decided to take the plunge. Noise cancellation and Build Quality is what set these headphones apart for me, I haven't had anything as close to these before. They never get uncomfortable and I can wear these for hours on end, and the noise cancellation is way better than anything else apart from Apple. I also like how quickly these charge and the fact they include a 3.5mm adapter cable as well as USB C. Also I find the volume slider super innovative and easy to use, I never have to think about what I need to do I just muscle memory and do it which is brilliant. Sound quality overall is very respectable, decent amount of bass and treble and can be configured in the sonos app. I just wish there was a touch more sub bass rumble as I feel that my Bowers and Bang and Olufsen sets had this nailed slightly better but that being said I might need to burn the sonos ace headphones a little before the sub bass becomes more present. Overall can't fault this product. Bluetooth dual connectivity has been top notch, haven't got a Sonos soundbar so can't test the switching feature, but even small things like the magnetic earpads and coloured earcups inside the felt just make these such a fun and thoughtful product. I feel like these are going to last me a good couple of years.

These are actually underrated in my opinion. Which worked out well for me cuz they're always on sale. This pair of headphones is not for everyone, but for a certain kind of individual, they're absolutely perfect. Pros: Very comfortable, spacious earcups (I have the Sony XM4s and my ears are always touching the inside of the cup, never with these) Easy switching with a Sonos sound bar. For all audio, including games as well! Magnetic earcup replacement. Super easy to do, available to buy directly from Sonos. Best ambient mode I've ever heard on a pair of headphones. Great for conversations without taking them off, almost like you're not wearing headphones. Good battery life. Cons: Absolutely atrocious app integration. I had a very hard time setting these up. These do not fold up, making them inconvenient for travel. Bass is not as strong as many other headphones I've tested. Not super comfortable around the neck, only passable. Usage: I’ve been using these for around 9 months and I've worn them for travel, working out and watching content/playing games at home. Best for: If you have a sonos soundbar, these are a no brainer, as long as switching audio from the bar is something you feel the need to do. Whether you're watching tv or playing on your PS5, the audio transfer is seamless and top quality without any wires. These are also great if you have small ears. If you're not a bass head and prefer clarity, as well as a top tier ambient mode, look no further. If you want something that folds as a top priority, steer clear. Conclusion: They're not perfect, not by a long shot, but I find myself grabbing these every night for a late TV session when I can't afford to turn the volume up on the tv. For me these are great because of that and the top tier ambient mode. If you want an all in one pair of headphones that can do it all, I wouldn't necessarily recommend these, Bose or Sony might suit you better.

The Sonos Ace are what happen when a luxury speaker system decides to go mobile and wrap itself around your head with the tenderness of a velvet hug. ✅ Spatial audio so immersive I physically turned around to check if someone was behind me. ✅ Instant pairing with my Sonos system—like magic, but with better bass. ✅ Noise cancelling that made the world go poof (goodbye, lawnmowers, children, and regrets). ✅ Build quality so premium it feels like a Scandinavian furniture designer got involved. They’re sleek. They’re absurdly comfortable. And the head tracking in Dolby Atmos? Absolutely uncalled for in the best way. It’s like being inside the movie without having to wear 3D glasses or pants. 🎶 Switching from TV to headphones mid-scene using Sonos swap? Genuinely spooky the first time. Now I feel like I’m in a sci-fi film about seamless transitions. --- Would I recommend them? Yes. Would I refuse to let others "just try them on"? Also yes. Would I accidentally wear them into the shower? Almost. Stopped just in time. .

I picked up the Sonos phones on a bit of a whim to replace my old and much cheaper JVC phones. I have equivalents to these from Bose and Sony, both of which are very impressive, but I think the Sonos phones have ths MX5s and Quiet Comfort Ultras whipped. Ofcourse sound quality is personal and subjective, but I do think these have the edge. My taste in music is rock, punk, metal, hardcore and far more extreme stuff, so perhaps not the most common type of music pumped through them. The phones are comfortable for long term wear and like with the other phones I have they feel like they're well made. I purchased mine during a sale period on Amazon and at the sale price they are excellent value for money. Like other pricier headphones they come with a hard container to store them in that zips up. Charging is via a now standard USB C connector. The phones connect simply via Bluetooth and can be seen in the now improving Sonos app, from the Sonos app you have features you can turn on and off for the phones, such as 'Loudness'. Highly recommended headphones! The only thing I can fault the Sonos product on is the case, specifically the zip on the case, which on mine has broken. I had to break it in the end to get the phones out. Advise would be use a larger ZIP. I've not had this issue on cases for my Bose or Sony MX5 phones. Fortunately I don't travel with my Sonos phones so they sit in a draw in the case, so the broken zip doesn't matter.

I first wrote a five stars review because noise cancellation is so good and sound is good too. I could "live' with the mediocre software but I got tired of dealing with the rubbish software and called Sonos. I talked to someone there, followed his instructions and now my headphone doesn't connect with my Mac anymore! On the top of that, the head piece and one of the "ears" has visible foam after less than a year of use. Utter rubbish headphone.

Estos auriculares Sonos Ace superan todas mis expectativas. Son increíblemente cómodos, tanto que te olvidas de que los llevas puestos. La calidad de sonido es excelente, con unos graves profundos y agudos claros, y la cancelación activa de ruido es de primera categoría, bloqueando casi por completo el ruido exterior. Me encanta el audio espacial con seguimiento dinámico de la cabeza, ya que ofrece una experiencia inmersiva y realmente cambia la forma en que escucho mi música favorita. Además, la batería dura muchísimo, por lo que no tengo que preocuparme de cargarlos a diario y de hecho es como usar un kindle! Se me olvida cargarlos durante dias. El diseño en color blanco es elegante y moderno, perfecto tanto para trabajar como para llevar por la calle.

Sonos ace est un très bon casque Bluetooth Léger sur la tête confortable ANC fonctionne à merveille les coussinets d’oreilles sont doux et facilement remplaçables juste aimantés comme le casque Apple AirPods Max Qui lui ressemble beaucoup la qualité sonore est excellente on peut le garder des heures ne fatigue pas les oreilles très bonnes autonomie La connectivité est complète les matériaux utilisés sont d’excellente qualité et solide si je compare le sony wh-1000xm6 ou xm5 qui a beaucoup de plastique qui fait un peu toc. Pour le premier casque sonos à taper très fort pour jouer avec les plus grands dans ce domaine audio vraiment pas déçu de mon achat qui est certes un peu cher mais qualité prix il les vaut largement vous pouvez foncer sans regret 👍
