Salewa Mountain Trainer Men's Shoes

Solid, comfortable, with secure footing. Took it up first 1000 m hill within 3 days of delivery - in v. hot weather (35 C). No problems of any kind - no discomfort, or blisters, good grip on all terrain. Very happy with my purchase, but this is the third pair of Salewa Mountain Trainers I have had, and I will keep coming back to them.

Seem good and stiff for scrambling routes with good support good grip yet still comfortable after long walk will definitely buy again

Looks good, stiff sole, vibram grip. Serve you well on most mountain approaches and decent for some technical section or scramble grades. Found them heavy though, like an old Volvo, solid. If you’re a ‘fast and light’ heat head maybe look elsewhere. If you want some reassurance and longevity though, these are it. Done a few grade 2 scrambles with em in the uk and they have been great. I did however use them in the wet, and wasn’t overly enamoured with them on slick limestone, nearly took a few headers 😂. hoping it was because they were brand new. Good quality overall tho

Bought these shoes as i had plantar faciilitis in the foot, where walking became almost unbearable. These Salewa shoes after wearing for 3 days fixed the problem, i was amazed. I then inserted insoles and now my feet feel well protected. These shoes remind me when i was younger getting fitted up for my first pair of shoes. These help you walk more correctly where the weight from upper body is evenly distributed over the foot. It feels like your walking more on the balls of your feet, towards the front part of foot. I would highly recommend this brand of footwear especially if your out walking a lot. You need good, sturdy and robust footwear, Salewa more than provides that. Also folk with feet problems should try this brand Salewa. Could end up being a smart decision......

Great looking hiking / approach shoe I’m a size 9uk. But ordered a 1/2 size bigger ,glad I did as they fit perfect Time will tell how they last , but seem very well built and have great support , and a bonus that there blister free

Way too heavy

Most comfortable walking shoes I've owned. As ex-Military, I've done a lot of miles in a lot of boots and have always had some sort of blister or hot-spot. Not with these. Only word of caution is the soles are quite stiff (as designed), which limit the flexibility when going over rough terrain. So if you have weak ankles, you should buy the boot version.

Zapatos comodos, buena calidad de materiales, suela muy bien estructurada. Este modelo lo tengo en dos colores. Los recomiendo. Recuerda que la suela es semirugida, yo utilizo un 47, peso 80 kg y ando con ellos como si fuera un zapato normal. Para numeros pequeños debes tener en cuenta que puede dar cierta rigidez al andar.

Le ho prese basse alte e anche alla morosa le adoro oltre a essere comodissime hanno un grip che fa paura ps( non su massi lisci e bagnati ma penso non esista niente che riesca a fare grip in una situazione tale) per il resto sono imbattibili anche su neve e con ciaspole

Super comfortable as ever. These are the 5th pair of Salewa shoes I've bought and I just wear them everywhere. They're very supportive and the sole is great on any surface. My only issue is that the laces are too red and too long. I wanted to swap them out for black laces but the eyelet holes are so narrow that only the supplied red laces will fit - I just wish they weren't so conspicuously red. The laces are also about 20cm too long but I was able to fix that by cutting that length off one end and then melting the tip so it won't fray.

To replace my old Salewa mountain trainer, I was looking to buy second pair of the same shoe, but saw that they were discontinued! So I ordered this new style and returned it because this new style looked like crap when you put it on. the heel is bulky for absolutely no reason, it felt way too stiff and heavier. The original Salewa mountain trainer was a great looking shoe, very durable, excellent grip, pliable and light enough to run short distances. SALEWA ! BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL STYLE MOUNTAIN TRAINER !!
