I bought this to replace a Jad sp-700 that sits in the back of a built in filter. It fits perfectly in the small compartment at the back of the tank and I only had to trim the return hose that filters the water back into the tank by a cm as this product is a cm taller than the Jad. I bought it for a faster flow rate with Jad only being a 230 flow rate at max. This discoball pump can keep the original 230 flow rate when turned on the minimal setting but then offers a lot more when you start to turn it up.It comes with safety instructions and two adapters which will fit most standard hoses or pipes. My filter system is now working a lot more efficiently and I couldn't be happier with it.

Would have been handy if lead had been a bit longer, wasn't quite as long as I had first thought. But has done the job, water feature working well and very quiet.Regards,

Using a 600l/min for a DIY water feature project. It's pumping water up around 40cm from the bottom of a 30cm container, up a short piece of hose and into a silver ball, where it creates a stream about 6cm out of the top when its running on full speed and the container is full. Pretty much ideal. The unit is very small, about the size of a fist and runs very quietly; certainly outside in a feature like this, it's essentially silent. It came with two attachments for a hose type connection and one of them was literally perfect for a normal size garden hose with just a push-fit. The other one was smaller, about 9cmm across for perhaps something like clear tubing used in aquariums. Really the only downside to this is the very short power cable, which is around 1.5m. In my case I lengthened this using a waterproof cable joiner, which is straight forward but understandably not for everyone. For the price, it's absolutely ideal if the cable is long enough, I guess longevity will be the other test....I'll check back in for that!

Not very powerful which is a shame…

This is an ideal pump for the garden self contained fountains, which sometimes are limited for inside space, and with the flow restriction built in, you decide on the flow you want. Excellent long lead and nice and quiet. Would highly recommend for such a use.

I was keen to move to an effortless water change system for my 180l aquarium as i was fed up of constantly making buckets up. My aquarium is also not in the easiest position to maintain to this would also save a lot of grief in prep time for a water change.I went for the 2500LPH model as I was going to be pumping approx 15 meters so wanted to make sure flow was sufficient. I'm using 5/8'' (16mm) pipe and on its maiden voyage yesterday, i couldn't have been happier. I Haven't fully worked out my quantities yet, but i'm estimating that I replaced about 70 litres and this was done in about 10 minutes start to finish. This doesn't take in to account the measuring and cutting of pipe along with any other 'first time' jobs. To have done this using the old fashioned method would have been at least 30 minutes, so i'm very impressed with ease of use and time saved.The pump is quite heavy but for the maximum flow rate model, this is to be expected. It's not a permanent fixture so really didn't cause any issues. On the positive side, the pump does feel well made and i'd be more concerned if it was on the light side.Not a very long power cable which is a shame, so you may need to consider where your power points are and plan accordingly. They state 1.8m but mine didn't seem this long which meant I had to change my plans slightly. Still not worthy of knocking points off the pump though. And given the value for money this represents (i bought mine when it was on offer - but without it is still good value) i really have no complaints. I just hope it lasts the distance,

I bought this pump to move water from an 80l storage box in to the aquarium. It is incredibly efficient, completely the transfer in less than 2 minutes. The reason that I've not given 5 stars is that the screw outlet attachment has become jammed. As it happens, I don't want to put the smaller one one but would be unable to do so if I wished. The cosmetic blanking plate is loose and one of the 4 suckers tore the first time it was used. Doesn't detract through from the ability of the pump to work so well.If you are going to transfer water with it and use the larger attachment then you need 18mm wide tubing.

Firstly it arrived a day early and took only 2 days to arrive and I'm not a prime member! So I was eager to get it installed to replace a 950l/h which was making such a noise is was causing me stress (migraine sufferer).I am elated! It's so quiet and I can finally watch my 320l freshwater aquarium in peace! Flow rate is fantastic! I would say if you want a certain rate get the model higher and that gives you room for adjustment with its handy dial. Also it stops the motor running at full rate which will burn it out quicker in time (I have purchased the 1500l/h)I can't recommend it enough and at the fantastic price that beats named models hands down.Obviously this is day one and only time will tell.Thank you!
