Amazing
AMAZING. this product is just fantastic, makes really rich dark chocolate items and it’s been revolutionary for my baking. It’s not overly sweet so you can get a really deep flavour, it makes things jet black which also makes them look more decadent. Will have this as a permanent feature in the cupboard

A learning curve but a good result
This worked well after a bit of tweaking. You have to let it sit for a while (about 2 hrs) after mixing to see the true black colour come through. When you originally mix it, it’s dark brown but panic not. It will go darker. The taste is very reminiscent of strong black coffee, not unpleasant but not for everyone. To fix this I added half a cup of normal cocoa powder and two capfuls of vanilla extract (I was making quite a large batch) and it sweetened it up. It does also get a little sweeter as it sits so taste it when it’s had time to go dark. It will darken on your cake so you don’t need to wait before you put it on.

Next level chocolate butter cream
Great alternative to traditional cocoa. Really elevate the chocolate butter cream.

Fantastic
I love this but if you’re doing a big batch of black buttercream you still need to use a lot even with using cocoa to darken first . I also still need to add colouring . It makes your buttercream taste like Oreo , only thing wrong is the price, it’s very overpriced

VILE don’t buy
VILE This is absolutely not black cocoa, it must be mixed with charcoal as it was the most disgusting thing we’ve ever tasted. Bloomed it in boiling water, mixed into butter cream and it was not black, and when taste testing it I was appalled, the taste lasted for hours. And the smell lingered for days. Others tasted it and said the same thing. I’m so glad I didn’t put it on the cake before trying it. Can not return it but Amazon have applied a refund using their chat option.

Perfect for giving cake a dark colour and rich taste
Perfect for my daughter's Crow Party cake - gave lovely deep brown, almost black, colour to the sponge and tasted delicious

Love Oreo's?
Yes this powder is more expensive than regular cocoa powder, but for me it's worth every penny. The taste is akin to Oreos: it's much less bitter than the brown stuff you can pick up in the supermarkets. I love baking and since using this in my cookies and cakes I haven't looked back.
