LOL, I unpackaged them, fully charged everything, then plugged the receiver into the speakers, turned on the mic, and had no sound... Then just before I was gonna repack them and return them, I realized that the receiver plugged into the speaker needs to be also turned on, and WOW, these mics are perfect and will be great for karaoke...!!

The first set I received had a weak battery in the receiver. It never fully charged. The replacement receiver battery lasts about half as long as the microphone battery so make sure you follow the instructions to the letter for charging. After a full charge I left them on overnight and the receiver was down to 2 bars and the microphones were still at 4. So it's still very good battery life. The sound quality is very good into my Roland Cube. Plenty of volume and tonal quality even at volume level 1. The receiver has a very robust XLR jack that will works great with my Cube. And 2 mics into 1 receiver is a real plus when you are limited on inputs . The mics are a little "fat" to fit into a standard mic holder so get a bigger holder. You may get some pops" occasionally which I have determined to be due to static electricity - not the fault of the units themselves. Overall a very good buy.

Bought these for our DJ at our restaurant & bar and they performed great! Clear audio and look heavy duty, nice foam protection around the top of the microphone to keep it clean and avoid moisture or debris from entering. Easy off and on power switch plus great walking range during connection. Pleased with our purchase!

These mics are lightweight and have a sleek design. I liked the glow ring at the top which indicated status. When they worked, the sound quality was quite good. The adjustable gain on the mic itself is a nice feature although an up-down control would be better. The display gives a lot of information but it is a bit small and hard to read in sunlight. As far as features I wished it had an onboard mute so I wouldn't have to power it on and off all the time (this takes a few seconds). A one-button design is not so good since it has to do several functions. The receiver is also a little too fat so it won't necessarily fit into a mixer board alongside other cables. The real problem with this unit is range. They claim 240 feet. I could barely get 50 feet line-if-sight. Obstructions were a problem. The signal would not go through a single door 30 feet away. If someone's body was between the mic and the receiver then there were bursts of static and audio cutouts. My setup was outside and I even had the receiver hanging about 6 feet off the ground off an awning for better reception but this did not help. It was completely unacceptable. This surprised me because several other reviews indicate the range is much better than this (and others had similar issues). I do not think I was doing anything wrong. I have other wireless transmitter-receivers that I have used without problems. I meant to run more tests before returning the mics but ran out of time so I only have that one negative experience to comment on.

These are very sensitive. Tried different channels, volume settings, positions and no matter what we did it was still hard to have clear sound.
