Yes it should do difficult to say for sure without knowing colour you want to achieve but ash blonde will tone down yellow depends how dark you want to go but remember hot sun will lift the colour slightly so a shade or two darker will last longer

Is this definitely shade 6.1 as in the picture? Colour description in item listing just says "brown"

Yes, I've bought a couple of them. Very hard to find 6.1 for some reason.

Will it dye over bleached hair with grey roots - whole head coloured with 9.1 currently?

Well, it worked well for me. Just remember to keep it on for sufficient time (25 minutes for the roots, plus 5-10 extra for the rest of your hair). The instructions are a little confusing (none of them is in English!!), as it appears to suggest that you put conditioner on first. Don't. Just mix the first two ingredients and apply them directly to your hair. I have my own brush and mixing bowl which can be re-used time and again. Hope this is hepful.

Great Color, Smooth Finish!

I used L'Oréal Paris Hair Dye (Excellence Creme) and it delivered vibrant color with excellent gray coverage. My hair felt smooth and shiny afterward, not dry like other dyes I’ve tried. Easy to apply, though the smell was a little strong. Overall, a great, affordable option for long-lasting color!
