MY CAT LOVES THESE MICE!!!!!!!!!
So my cat Luna is very picky when it comes to toys. A lot of things just don't provide her with enough stimulation or excitement to make her even remotely interested in playing. There is only 1 other toy she plays with other than these mice and she only plays on average with it once a month while she plays with these mice daily. She has literally every toy she could want because I spoil her like crazy! She loves bringing these little mice to bed with her. She will bring them especially when I am gone for the day and she misses me ill find them under my covers when I get home. I've found them in the bathtub. She's played with them running up and down the hall batting them or carrying them in her mouth. These are her absolute favorite thing in the world. I am gutted because I accidentally washed a load of laundry with them in it because she sometimes hides them in my laundry hamper and I forgot to check so I had to order them again. She's had these ones for about a year and the squeak still works so I haven't needed to replace them but these little guys do not like the washing machine. They are electronic so I'm not surprised which is why my rating remains at 5 stars. I brought the mouse up from the wash and gave it back to her. It works fine now...but.... So let's address what happens when you wash these things. First of all as I was loading my laundry into the dryer I heard an ongoing beeping like an alarm. I kept searching for the source of the noise and discovered the mouse. It would not stop. It sounded literally like one of those cheap house alarms you have to turn off whenever you open the door or it'll just go off and never stop. It was so loud which is not a noise I thought these little things could make because the chirp isn't horribly loud. It can get annoying in the middle of the night when your trying to sleep but it's not terrible. So I smacked it a few times off the edge of the washer trying to shut it up. That actually worked surprisingly. It still squeaks just fine and my cat is playing with it now. The reason I said these things don't like the washer is because of the incessant sound it made before I smacked it against the machine. Honestly it's a quality product and the only reason I'm buying more is because she loves them so much and in case next time I can't fix it. Cause if I can't fix it I'm chucking it outside.

Glad they still make these
I'm glad Amazon had this. This will be the 3rd one of these I've bought for what is now my 3rd cat. I got one of these 30 years ago for my first cat, and he loved it. 14 years later the 2nd cat loved it too. These toys don't last forever, but I view this toy as a right of passage for all my cats. Now just to be clear, you might want to know that the mouse will hang about 28 to 29 inches off of the floor. That means tiny little kittens aren't going to be playing with this thing right away. Once they get a little older, they'll start jumping at this thing, and occasionally sink a claw or two into it. When that happens, this thing is gonna slingshot, so make sure there are no breakables within range. Be forewarned: You are going to start hearing that little mouse chirp at all hours of the day and night. So the good news is, you will never need to replace the battery. Rest assured, kitten is gonna get your money's worth out of it. Once the kitten gets closer to full size, they will either lean against the door or just stand up on their hind legs to bat at the mouse. They might even bite it and play "tug" with it, but eventually the string is gonna break. You might be able to fix it a couple of times, but once the plastic part snaps, kitty's favorite toy will be no more. Sometimes I wish the string was just a little bit longer so the smaller kittens can start playing with it sooner, but they grow up so fast it's probably best the string isn't that long, and it's a bittersweet hope that I won't need to buy another one for another 14 to 20 years.

Fun for cats
My cats really enjoy this squeaky friend. Well made and tough enough for the rough play the cats dish out.

Very realistic
I personally love this mouse. It squeaks (once you activate the battery) with the slightest movement - sounding just like a real mouse. It looks real enough, also. I think it's great! The cats? Well, problem is that they are not quite as enthusiastic about this item. They are sort of lukewarm to the whole thing. They will half-heartedly bat it around once in a while but that is about it. I will say, however, that virtually every morning I find it downstairs on the first floor after I have brought it upstairs to the second floor each evening. They are at least carrying around a bit after we retire to bed. Personally, I think they don't want us to watch them play with it. Perhaps, as cats go, they believe it is "beneath their dignity" to be observed playing with their toy mouse. I am forever inadvertently stepping on the thing as it does show up in various locations, none of which are where I have placed it. The animals are obviously interacting with it on some level. Each time I do step on it, it squeaks - sounds exactly like a real mouse. Beats me if I know what is their problem - i.e. why they don't play with the mouse. Perhaps they are simply lazy. I did have one cat once who would catch real mice in the house and bring them into the bathtub where she could play with them without the creature having the ability to escape. I have rescued more than a few mice from her through the years although I must say, some of them became dinner for said cat before I could intervene. I suspect that SHE would have loved this toy. As for my current two cats - they don't appear overly impressed. Should you should buy it? I say go for it. It is just about the most realistic cat toy I have ever encountered. If your cat is a "player" I suspect he or she will be very interested in this toy. It seems my two cats would rather simply sleep. Neither of them ever catch any mice in our circa 1900s farmhouse where, trust me, there ARE mice to be caught. Their predecessor did so regularly. The bottom line is that I would recommend giving it a try. It not is particularly expensive and it just might amuse you more than the cat.

Chirpchirpchirpchirp
I’ve bought like 4 of these over the last 10 years. Every cat I’ve ever had has loved them. The chirping will make you go crazy, but the cats love it.

My dog is obsessed !!
Got a mouse toy just like this from tjmaxx for my mini poodle ( Georgia ) who loves chasing mice and any small thing that moves and she absolutely loved it but she broke the little noise maker in it so I got her a replacement , Unfortunately she did the same to this one about 10-15 minutes after I gave it to her but she loves this toy so much she just carries it around all day highly recommend getting it if you have a dog that loves mice lol I will say it does get very annoying when they play with it non stop but it’s definitely worth it with how much my girl loves it even though it doesn’t make the chirp sound anymore it’s still her favorite toy !! I will definitely buy more!
