I'm using this to seal QC air hose couplings on my portable compressor. Any pipe dope or sealant I used in the past did not prevent eventual vibration-induced loosening of the pipe threads - which was to be expected as most 'sealants' are NOT threadlockers. This is one of the few products that claims to seal thread as well as provide some thread locking capability. Others I found were considerably more expensive. I have now have a coupling installed with this for over a month with no loosening or leakage. The compressor holds pressure with no reduction from leaks for days until I use it again. Definitely recommended.

A little thin like Elmer's glue compared to average "pipe dope" or thread sealant. But this may be due to the blue loctite additive. No complaints here. From manufacturer, "Not appropriate for Retorque applications due to the thread locker in it. Like head bolts on a sbc. Which is EXACTLY what i used it for. BUT, I used head studs, not bolts. Clamping load is shared but twisting force to threads/shank is different with studs. We shall see. No leaks yet
