Quantum Computation and Quantum Information: 10th Anniversary Edition

Good explanation
I bought this book to understand quantum computing and information from a second year maths graduate level. You need some knowledge of QM - certainly wave functions and stationary states, plus an understanding of basic linear algebra, complex numbers etc. Even so, the introduction chapter can be bewildering at times.I persevered and do like this book. It’s not an easy subject, but I am learning much as I read through.

Amazing book
One of the best books out there for an introduction to quantum computing. Starts with the basics such than an undergraduate science student can get started with it easily, before diving into more complex topics.

Very Happy with the book
Very Happy with the book.Box that it came in the side was partially ripped.Luckly the books and the 4 way USB connector was in tact.Terrible seeing that come through the door.I writing this because I wouldn't like it to happen to anyone else.I say its the Post!An Post Ireland, really don't care.Thrown in the porch!Im just wandering if something can be done about this.I know other people had the same experience. As for the booksDelighted with them. Im so innterested in computers all that.4 way USB charger adapter is working.Miracle contents didn't get damaged.

The quantum computing guide book
This is an excellent starter, and reference book on QC. I'm still working through it, and have to keep going back and forth to understand some of the maths, but is really helping ground my thoughts.

I love it
Excellent introduction to quantum computation. I am an economist and has no background in the field of physics, but with high school math you are able to follow the presentation and even work out some of the problems. Great buy!!

Approachable but Thorough
As an independent reader with a background in mathematics, this has been a difficult but entertaining read. I definitely recommend a strong background in linear algebra because if you come in blind, the 20 page recap is unlikely to be sufficient. However, the recap is a great review and introduction to the notation.I'm still relatively early in the book, but the writing is very clear and I would definitely recommend it to any independent readers who are interested in quantum computing!

Must have for all quantum computing aficionados
The book is very interesting and useful for everyone who means to deal with the quantum computing seriously. The book will provide you with necessary theoretical background to understand quantum computing and quantum algorithm. The first part is introduction to the quantum computing, quantum mechanics and theoretical computer science, the second part deals with basic of quantum circuits, quantum Fourier transformation and its application and Grover search algorithm. Last part is focused on theory of information, mainly the quantum one.The book is not light reading but it can serve as very useful guide in the world of quantum computing theory.
