Good book for 7yo independent reader.
I have bought this book for my 7yo twin daughters. It was definitely a success -- this book's language is straightforward and easy for just-learned-how-to-read-independently children. They read it from beginning to end and actually remembered what they read.I definitely recommend this book, however I suggest to start with London (Beginners), as the topic of that book would likely to be more familiar and interesting for children.

Very interesting introduction to this topic for a 6 year old who can read independently.

Very basic
The book is fine but much more basic in terms of the information than I was expecting. It has nothing like the level of interest or detail that other Usbourne and DK topic books have.It is small (A5 not A4) and much more similar to a first reader book than a topic book. It means a 6 year old could read it totally alone but there is not much to excite or dive into in terms of learning about the Romans.
