**Q: What percentage of germs does this product kill?  Is it just 90% like vinegar?   My family needs are such that we have to be sure.**
A: I have a light and swab tester and yes it kills the germs , I mix mine a bit heavier do is 75% cleaner 25% water but it does work!!! I am allergic to so much and my kids are as well this works just as good as my steamer and better than my vinegar!!

A: According to Mrs. Meyers website: "The instructions says dilution rate of 1/4 cup concentrate to 1 gallon water. Well, 1/4 cup is 12 teaspoon and 1 gallon is 128 oz. Therefore for the 16 oz Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner, you'll need 1.5 teaspoon to 16 oz spray bottle at this dilution rate." Only 1.5 teaspoon! Great value.

A: 1/4cup to a gallon of water

**Q: Is this antibacterial?**
A: Any use of soap with water to clean is antibacterial because it does remove all dirt that harbors bacteria but this does not include the chemicals found in products like Purel/sanitizer products. If you want to make it a better cleaner to also sanitize you can mix in bleach to the solution mix. I do this when I mix the bottle used to clean my bathroom (a mixture of bleach, this concentrate, and water). Adding bleach does make it an antibacterial mixture/cleaner.

With a household of two young kids and two dogs, I go through a lot of cleaner. I really appreciate that Meyers have this option of buying the concentrate so I can reuse the spray bottles I have. It is easy to dilute, smells great and is one of my favorite cleaning products as I use it to clean most surfaces (including windows) in my house. I bought 3 bottles of the lavender cleaner, and have used it to clean a number of different surfaces. In one of the bathrooms, I used it to clean dust from 6-panel doors, the cabinets, the counter and sink, the inside and outside of the tub area, and the outside of the toilet. When I was done, everything in the bathroom looked so clean. Even the dust that collects in the corners of the 6-panel doors was gone. Next, I tried to clean stainless steel refrigerator in the kitchen. The refrigerator wasn't dirty, but it had streaks from water dripped from the ice maker and fingerprints. This cleaner didn't work as well on the refrigerator. Although it did remove the fingerprints and water streaks, it left streaks that I had to clean using another method. Actually, a clean washcloth and warm water worked very well to remove the streaks. This cleaner also left streaks on my built in stove that has a glass front. So, I don't believe this cleaner works well on reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, or stainless steel. Although it does clean these surfaces well, it leaves a residue that causes streaks. The last surface I tried cleaning today was some of my kitchen cabinets. These cabinets collect not only anything in the air from cooking, but, since I am a smoker, they also collect some nicotine. On the cabinets that I cleaned, this cleaner did remove stains from both as was evidenced by the washrags I was using. To-date, the only cleaner I have found that would effectively clean these stains was Windex. So, I was impressed at how well this cleaner worked. It was working so well, I wanted to keep going, but, unfortunately, ran out of time. Overall, I would recommend this cleaner for anything but mirrors, glass, and stainless steel. The lavender scent of the bottles I got was a nice scent, but a bit overwhelming in my opinion. Once I use up the bottles that I have, I will be trying one of the other scents, possibly the honeysuckle or lemon scents. UPDATE 05/21/25: We don't use our dining room which is furnished with a 40 year old solid wood dining room set. All too often the table is used for keeping appliances or other items that I plant to get rid of or need to find a permanent storage place. I finally got the table clear off and saw a decent layer of dust on it. So, I decided to try this cleaner on it. This cleaner not only removed all dust and spots on the table top but also the layers of old furniture polish. I was so pleased that the table was clean with a natural shine that did not feel oily. Now all I have to do is clean the rest of dining room furniture. I will definitely be using this cleaner. I hope this review was helpful for you.
