### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Refining precious metals - famous handbook.

This is the classic precious metals refiner’s book by C.M. Hoke, originally written in 1940, and as referred to by famous YouTuber SREETIPS. Refining and melting precious metals is risky for amateurs, since it involves the use of strong chemicals, poisonous gassing and high temperatures. This book is a MUST READ textbook that should be carefully studied prior to attempting to refining metals on your own. This book describes the building of a safe working lab room, including safety gear, ventilation system, work bench materials, lab equipment, fire hazard and the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals. It explains the chemical reactions, of which the most interesting ones are of course the refinement of low carat gold and silver to 9999 pure, and the smelting into shiny ingots. The book was originally written for dentists, for them to be able to reuse gold and platinum fillings and false teeth. It also refers to old hardware stores’ cathalogs incl references and item prices (!) from the 1940’s. Also lots of illustrations from the 1940’s, see encl photo, If you have read this far, I would also recommend Mr SREETIPS’ YouTube channel.
