If you are cutting Kaizen foam to custom fit your tools and other items in drawers, I consider this cut kit essential item for the process. First, although you can use any pen or marker to outline your items on the foam, the long nose marker with silver ink makes this a very easy process. As well, the ink can be wiped off within a certain time if you don’t like what you have outlined. Second, I cut most of my foam with the thin blade, knife, and then use the regular blade knife to even out the bottom of the cut outs. Note that the regular blade knife should be used fully extended, where is the thin blade knife can be extended to account for different depths of items that you are cutting for. Finally the homemaker is extremely easy to use to make finger cut out so that you can grab your items out of the foam.Before you begin cutting, I recommend that you review the numerous videos available on YouTube on how to best cut Kaizen foam, including an excellent how to video from FastCap.Although there are numerous methods, organizing tool and other drawers, Kaizen foam has allowed me to organize what would often be a jumble in a drawer into a easy to use, organized assortment of items. Although you may store fewer items per drawer, for me that is a worthwhile trade-off for the improved functionality and organization. Your mileage may vary.

If you're looking into cutting foam buy this kit!!! Don't get the cheap ones out there. The tools are fairly decent quality, for the price I wasn't expecting much as I've got single screwdrivers that cost more than this whole tool kit, but they turned out to be good tools. The knifes are good quality especially the thin knife, it will come in handy for more than just foam. The hole cutter is awesome, I'm going to try and use it for cutting contours my next go around. Finally the marker is the prize in this kit, being an automotive mechanic and fabricator this thing will come in handy for a lot of different uses and I'll be buying more of them. I used this kit to make some holders for my drum mics and in ear monitor receivers and monitors. This was my first go at cutting foam and this kit helped a lot and definitely made it easier than what I expected.
