High Sierra Endeavor Rolling Backpack, Mercury Heather, One Size

I really like the hybrid idea of being able to use as a backpack or a roller. Sometimes my pack could get pretty heavy, causing soreness in back, neck, and shoulders. Now I can roll when I need to. Plenty of room for clothes to take a short trip, or catalogs and samples in back compartment. Laptop fits nicely in sleeve, has plenty of pockets and features for storing cables, keys, pens, water bottle, and other gadgets. Shoulder straps have clips that easily unfasten, so they can be stowed while rolling. When wearing as a pack, the wheels do not have the cover option that other models to protect clothes, but that does not seem to bother me that much. Seems to have a low center of gravity to prevent it from tipping over. Overall, clean looking, zippers appear to be rugged enough we will see after some use, comes with a 5 year warranty. Wish I could have got the grey colored model but is was priced higher on amazon.

This is a light duty backpack that you can roll through the airport. It is not designed for rugged overland hiking treks. And it is not designed to be a super rugged wheel on airline bag that can carry a ton of stuff. I found the compromise to be perfect for my needs. Light loads glide along on the smooth wheels and the retractable handle telescopes and locks smoothly in the airport. On the street the straps are padded reasonably well and are comfortable with a full load. Not too heavy on the back. A nice hybrid that fills a key niche that works in the airport and on the plane, and then on the street, bus or subway in the city.

Product was great until it broke 4 months into use. A pin came out of the telescoping arm and made it unusable. it's not something we can repair easily ourselves. Now, back to using a standard backpack unfortunately

This is the second backpack we have purchased from Sierra for my high school son who needed wheels because he injured his back. The first backpack was slightly larger but its zipper broke and the ball bearings came out of the wheels. The large weight of the books pushed it beyond its abilities. This design has worked better because the zipper does not go all the way around. The wheels are holding up so far, but we'll have to see how it does after a beating from the snow and ice. Overall, no other manufacturer's designs seemed to offer what High Sierra does. Glad to have this solution.

It's not perfect - the back does get dirty from being wheeled around in snow/ice/mud/etc (so I wouldn't want to switch between rolling and backpack setup). And the water bottle holder fabric has a big hole in it from being scraped against doorways and other obstacles - I'm thankful the holder still works. But, I've used it for a few months now and the handle and wheels are working great and the rest of the bag is still sturdy and functional.

I use this product daily to carry my computer, tablet, and supplies back and forth to work. I like the key ring holder, the variety of zippered pockets, and the fact that it is relatively easy to wheel around.

My husband has this for about four months and a wheel has broken offNot very durable , his last one from someone else lasted 5 YEARS

Item arrived quickly and is perfect for heavy books. Just what is needed for nursing school.

Perfect for running through airports because you can put it on your back or trolley it with the wheels!! And not much heavier than his previous backpack without wheels…

Got it for a very good price and appeared to be well made. Unfortunately it did not have much ground clearance so that is why I returned it.
