The Fall Guy (2024) - Extended Cut 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital

This film adaptation of the television series “The Fall Guy” is fantastic. It is sheer entertainment and adds a more personal aspect the television series danced around too much. It is Cole and Jody’s underlined attraction and potential love for each other. The action sequences were great and the story of how Colt is framed for something he didn’t do are highly entertaining, but the heart of the movie is how Cole and Jody resolve anything that is in between them so that they can fall in love. It even has a pinch of 80s nostalgia while telling a modern story. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt do the roles justice and also effectively honor the vision of the characters previously portrayed by Lee Majors and Heather Thomas. Also, there is a fantastic cameo by Majors and Thomas. Highly recommended!

Both discs work great. The extended cut features a lot of extended and alternate scenes from the theatrical version, which was fun to watch. The movie itself is great; lots of fun action scenes and a lovely tribute to the stunt teams in the movie industry.

This is a great movie! It’s funny, it’s romantic and it’s action packed. The bonus features are also great. The disc was loose in the case when it arrived, but it only had minor scratches and it played well. This is a really fun movie. Definitely worth watching. And it provides insight into how stunts are done, especially if you listen to the commentary. The cast was apparently allowed to improv and they were so funny. It helps to watch it at least once with the subtitles so you don’t miss any of the hilarious dialogue.

Good movie. It got a little strange for a bit, but for the most part, a good funny movie. Not like the original "Fall Guy" but it was good.

I love this movie so much that I saw The Fall Guy in the cinemas multiple times and pre-ordered the Blu-Ray as soon as it was listed. The movie is funny, full of action, and wonderful chemistry and banter between the two leads. This is Colt Seavers journey of redemption after an on set accident caused him to quit his life as well as his friends and new love, Jody. Colt is a guy you can cheer for as his love for movies, ability for the physical action, and overall sweetness shines through. Colt is given the opportunity to make it right with Jody and possibly earn his old life back as her replacement stuntman on her first movie that she is directing. The cinematography and editing capture the action sequences perfectly as Colt races against the clock to save Jody's movie. The second chance romance between Colt and Jody feels effortless as Colt does his best to win her trust back and she wonders if she can count on him when things get hard. The key to this storyline working is when you realize that he is doing everything he is doing to help Jody, not just to win her back, but because he wants her to succeed. He might want her back, but he will happily do everything he is doing if he can help her finish her movie (her big break) and she still tells him to get lost. This small twist in motivation makes Colt all the more endearing. Movie fans will love all of the homages and link backs to previous films; blink and you'll miss the sheer volume of references that blend cohesively into this new story. The extra-features are fun and you can also see the director's cut of the film which has an additional action sequence and more time with the great supporting cast (their scenes are longer in this cut). But I do love the opening title sequence of the theatrical version with the cuts back and forth.

Amazing dvd of one of my favorite movies. Completely true to listing, came in great condition and wrapped in plastic! Would recommend if you like the movie or if you like action movies. The gag reel it included was very nice as well, and the alternate takes were great for any fans of the movie.

The best comedy, action movie that comes to mind. The story was so well crafted and the actors so believable I thought that Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt were actually dating.

This movie is awesome. With that said, if you enjoyed the OG TV show - it only has a few similarities - but resonates that vibration nonetheless, and is a wonderful action comedy. While I wish the price was slightly lower (say $10). This blu ray is still Highly Recommended. Double Blu Ray with bonus materials and theatrical version + extended version of film.

Llego muy bien protegido en el slipcover, el cual es de buena calidad y textura. La imagen es una buena mejora desde el disco blu-ray, mejorando en nitidez, saturación del color, brillo de los blancos y profundidad de los negros. El efecto HDR10 mejora este apartado. El audio en inglés Dolby Atmos es muy bueno y correcto, sin distorsiones en los diálogos o sonido ambiental. El código digital es válido solo para USA.
