Mega Torch
We do a lot of creme brulee around our house and finding a good torch is always a must. One of us likes to use the industrial flame torch, but others like to use more of the traditional torch to burn our sugar. This torch kind of falls in the middle. With four flame heads culminating in one bigger than normal flame, it burns the sugar fast and efficiently. It took a few tries to get it working as I would like, however the functions are easy to figure out and once learned, I was off burning sugar (and marshmallows) at a fast clip. This torch has all the functions you look for in a torch. There is a butane volume adjustment on the bottom of the torch, a lock, to lock the flame on, for those long projects and an easy butane fill option on the bottom of the torch. Someone wrote that they had problems filling, but I did not. Maybe it was just their torch...Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this torch.

Solid, reasonably powerful cooking torch that tries a little too hard
This is a well-built cooking torch. It is mostly metal, has a nice, solid heft, and feels good in the hand. It is everything you want if you need to caramelize a creme brule or char some carnitas. It claims it can be used for soldering, but that's a stretch. You could heat-shrink a wire connector, but it doesn't have the flame or fuel capacity to braze a copper pipe. The ignitor strikes the right balance between being easy to press and preventing accidents—it just feels right. However, it usually takes two presses to ignite. There is a lock that serves both as a safety feature and to lock the flame on. The jet enclosure is really well-designed. The exposed metal parts don't get hot, so you are unlikely to accidentally burn yourself. Some people reported trouble filling the torch but I didn't have a problem with it. Do be aware that butane will become quite cold as it is depressurized. The unit can get a little frosty, and any butane that drips out can cause frost burns. What I didn't like was how it is trying to be fancier than it is. The metal looks cool, but the wood is fake and very much looks it, and the signature is silly. Similarly, the "gift" box is chintzy. It tries too hard and looks cheaper for it, it would be better served with a utilitarian look.

Great buy
We actually got this lighter to use for heatshrink..but it just seems way to nice for use in the garage. This is definitely well-made and is comfortable to hold. We did not have any Butane, and none was included, so we did have to go buy some. BUT it was pretty easy to fill and really works good. It has a nice even flame and should work great. It came packaged well in a nice gift box. It also has a lock to prevent accidental activation..and that same lock will keep the flame constant too. It is easy to adjust the flame, but it only takes 1/4 turn to go from min to max..even though the adjustment keeps spinning. This was a great torch for the price!!

Made s’mores while watching a movie
This is a very high-quality. I don’t even wanna call it a wider. It’s so much more than that. I made s’mores. And also toasted marshmallows on top of some sweet potatoes and that was just the first two days I own this thing I wanna call it a Thor heads almost a pistol very heavy in the hand. It feels like very good quality. I would definitely recommend this if you’re a cook, it’ll come in handy for things. I think I’m gonna try something between a sunny side up and an over easy egg before I I’m not gonna even flip it. I’m just gonna set the top of it the perfect.

Looks Really Nice, But Either Mine is Defective, Or These All Have a Design Problem
Just looking at it, even the packaging, this appears to be a well made nicely finished and solid product. If looks alone were all that mattered, it could be five stars. But how it operates is even more important, and so far, I'd say either the one I got has a defect, or maybe they all do.I filled it with butane. At least, I'd say I did. It began spewing out of the valve, but the instructions say that means it is full. Odd, because I have a pencil torch that doesn't spew anything once it is full. There is no sight glass, so no way to really confirm it is full. Having one would be a definite improvement. But the real problem is getting it to start. I click the trigger after releasing the slide swich, I could hear butane escaping from the nozzles, but it did not start burning. I clicked again. And again. Finally, on the fourth click, it fired up.So I shut it off, and clicked it back on. Nothing. Two more clicks, it fired up. I did find after that it would fire more often than not if shut off and immediately clicked back on. But not always. And if it sat for several seconds, it would almost always then require several clicks to start again. At that point, I opened up the fuel delivery volume via the knob on bottom, and tried it again. With delivery maxed out, it still didn't always start on first click, but more often than not it did. Problem is, I don't want to leave it in blow torch mode. I then set the output to a more moderated flame I would want for routine operation. But that resulted in a return to multiple clicks to get a flame going again. I've yet to see another compact butane torch require you to turn it to max output just to start, then readjust every time back down to a useful setting - one that looks like the pictures in the ad. That's both a waste of fuel, and a lot of extra fumbling to start it, give the control knob is not easy to flip out so you can turn it, and then have to play with it.Bottom line: I'm not happy with it at all. I should be able to preset a moderate flame, and with one click, or maybe two at most, have it fired up. But it rarely does that, requiring either a full blast start, or multiple clicks to get going at a lesser flame. For all its good locks, I falls flat when it comes to operational performance. Maybe I just got a bad one. Or maybe they all do this. But for me, it is a disappointment for sure.

Filling not fun
It works great for shrink tubing but, tryingto fill it is not fun. And there is no way to tellhow full it is.
