A torch by any other name..
This flashlight is great. There is good balance in your hand, with enough weight to know you’ve got it, but still light enough to carry in your pocket. That the flashlight itself functions as the battery charger is nice too, just plug into the usb charging cord and you’re good to go. The only thing I will caution buyers on: the housing around the bulb will get hot on the brightest setting. You probably don’t want to put it back in a pocket right away. That said, the light itself is pretty durable. It has already survived quite a few drops and bangs with no issue at all. I’ve yet to really test its water resistance, but it was worked well in dampness and wet environments even if I haven’t pushed its limits. The brightness (granted, I mostly only use the brightest setting at work) is impressive, thoroughly lighting up dark crawlspaces, burned out houses and the backs of work vehicles in the dead of night with no problems at all. Overall this is a very solid flashlight that I would fully recommend. Enough so that I’ve already bought it twice over again for my work crews. A great light!

Bright
Thought this was a UV light. Bought on accident through product options for a different flashlight. It has a good weight and the rechargeable battery feature was a draw. Nice light. Very bright.

I got this for the reliability of the Cree lighting.
I wanted a decent LED light for my wife, to keep in the headboard. So if there was any sort of break in, she could blind them so they can't see what they're doing. And I wanted it to be reliable, and Cree is one of the companies that invented this technology. It's easy to handle and easy to recharge, which is all I was after, and this light fits that bill. I would probably go for something a little heavier and brighter if I was going out into dark woods, but for home defense, which is really what these are, this is a perfect unit for your loved one.

I wish it was bigger
It's a little weighty for being small, it is bright. Would have been better if it was bigger so I could use for delivering at night, but it'll do.. I keep it in my car incase I do need it.

Solidly built light, but nowhere near it's claimed output. Unique *very* dim mode
I really wish manufacturers would put the actual lumen output on their advertisements, instead of the wildly inflated numbers. In the case of this flashlight, the output isn't as egregiously overstated as some, but it's still over stated by almost 50%. With a claimed 900 Lumen output, this light output just over 600 lumens, topping out at 624 lumens with a full battery and completely cool. Not terrible by any means, but not 900 lumens. What was nice about this light, though, is that it did not decay much after heating up. I usually let lights run for at least a minute and take another reading to see how much the light output decays when the chip heats up and this light outperformed most in that it only decayed 24 Lumens, to 600 Lumens from its 624 max after 1 minute. Very impressive! It shows this chip isn't being overdriven much, if at all.The battery is a decent quality battery. With 10.8wH, or 3000mAh nominal at 3.6v (this is really a 3.7v battery I think, not a 3.6v 18650) and it gave its rated capacity within an acceptable margin of error, delivering 2764mAh of usable energy. Cudos! The light output has a very pronounced center hotspot with a softer shell and a brighter outer ring. Not my favorite light throw pattern. The wide pattern also indicates it will be very dim by the time it gets a few tens of feet out.One thing that sets this apart from some other lights is its dimmest setting. It's *very* dim, clocking in at 3 Lumens. It's dimmer than most dim modes I've come across and could be handy in dark environments, such as camping, where you don't want to take others with a bright light. It would be interesting to put a red filter on such a dim light, making it a great covert light at that setting.Another thing that sets this apart is that it came with a charger. Not just a cable, but a plug-in charger. I guess for the price and what you are getting, it makes sense. Is this a great flashlight? No... but it's a good flashlight and will work for most purposes.

I love this light!
I’ve had this flashlight for about a week and it’s the best flashlight that I’ve ever had.The light comes with a hand lanyard, wall plug, charger cord, rechargeable battery and two extra o-rings. The light is charged with a micro USB-B plug that is commonly used with many devices. When charging, a light in the power button glows red. It turns green when fully charged. The light and battery are easy to assemble I initially had a problem getting the light to work, but it was because the two halves of the light weren’t screwed together tightly enough. My bad.The light has four brightness settings that are toggled by pressing the power button. The brightest, turbo, can illuminate objects hundreds of feet away and can easily shine on the highest tree branches. The lowest setting is similar to a traditional flashlight with low batteries. There are two additional settings as well. Pressing the button twice starts a strobe flashing mode. A second double push triggers the coolest mode, an emergency function in which the light flashes the Morse code for SOS.There are warnings not to shine the turbo mode into your eyes and a caution that the light can get hot. The longest continuous use that I’ve done so far was about 15-20 minutes of mostly turbo use. The light was noticeably warm to the touch but not uncomfortably hot. After a week of light to moderate use, the battery was still not showing low. I don’t know how long the battery will last from experience, but the manual estimates two hours on turbo to 68 hours on low.I didn’t drop test it.The light is comparable to my handheld spotlight but is much smaller and easier to carry. I recommend it without reservation.
