Halo: Flash point- awesome
Great quality all round. Includes everything you need to start playing within a very short time frame. Game play is simple to learn, but with plenty of Tactical nuance. Very good value for money.

Spartan vs Recon edition
If you love the Halo games and if you love tabletop games, this is a must have! It's very fun to play and has lots of customization for play style (fully customizable terrain, and multiple game modes like Slayer, CTF, Oddball, and a resource gathering game mode. Along with this version (spartan edition), there are 3 other starter sets for the game: Recon edition, Rise of the Banished, and Feet First into Hell. I went with this version because I felt like it came with the most accessories for the price. But if you aren't 100% sure about the game or are looking for a cheaper alternative, I'd recommend getting the Recon edition. Spartan edition vs Recon edition: Both include the same base set for the game, 2 teams of 4 Spartans (one red team and one blue team), a set of buildable terrain, the battle mat, and have the same base ruleset and tokens needed to play the game. The Spartan edition also includes another 2 teams of 4 Spartans (one red and one blue) with different equipment, a team of 4 Elite covenant (gray), an extra set of buildable terrain, some plastic standees to be used for objectives instead of tokens, and an extra battle mat. But just about all of the extras in the Spartan edition can be bought separately. I'm unsure about the plastic objectives, but I've seen everything else (extra Spartan and Covenant teams, terrain, and battlemats) sold in add-on sets and/or other editions. So you don't have to worry about missing out on exclusive items if you don't buy the Spartan edition. Rules of the game: The rules can feel like a lot to go through at first (the rule book is about 30 pages) but Mantic games has a series of short videos on YouTube that go over the majority of how to play and the rules are based on the ruleset for Deadzone (another tabletop game by Mantic) if you have played that before. For the first couple games keep the rulebook handy until you learn the special moves for each character and how to handle combat. This edition also comes with a first time battle scenario that has everything preset on the battlemat to help with learning how to play. I'd assume the Recon edition has that as well but can't say for certain. But the rules aren't as daunting as they might seem. The only complaint I have for the game is the buildable terrain. The terrain is made up of cardboard cutouts that are put together to assemble buildings and barriers. All of the terrain looks really cool when it's all built but because it is cardboard, it can get damaged relatively easy. I had a couple piece fray and get small tears on the outside paper when building them. Overall not a huge issue considering I can always buy extra terrain but an issue all the same. Also, if you have a 3d printer, there are a ton of terrain sets that can be found online for making your own.
