Simple the way good tech should be
I was almost turned off by the reviews but so glad I “risked” it. I got this bundled with the keypad (non-fingerprint) and it is the perfect solution for my whole family. My luddite wife still can use her key, my kids can use their codes, and it auto unlocks for me when I come up the front walk. I especially love being alerted when my kids get home from school and unlock the front door, and if they go out again after that before I get home from work. And I can text guest codes to family or friends who are coming over and arrive when we’re not home, then delete them after they leave. All without any extra fees or subscriptions. I use the Yale app on iOS and so far so good. Installation, including setting up accounts and codes for the keypad, took about 20 minutes. And nothing is permanent and can be restored in about 5 minutes if I want to switch back.

Perfect Smart Lock for Renters
This lock is perfect especially for renters. It uses the existing deadbolt and key, so there's no issue with the landlord. Setup was super fast and only took a few minutes, and it connected to Wi-Fi and the app immediately with no problems. Linking it to Alexa was also easy so I can add it to my smart home routines. Highly recommend this for those looking for a painless way to add some smart functionality to your door!

Not compatible with existing deadbolts.
If you are thinking of buying this, save yourself the money and don’t. It doesn’t work with my existing deadbolt, and it probably won’t work with yours. See the other reviews by people who say it doesn’t work with their existing hardware. Believe them and me. It’s now an expensive and dumb paperweight in my house.

Easy to install
I am not particularly handy and installed this easily with a screwdriver. Instructions were good. Had to call my internet provider to add a 2.4GHz line but that was not difficult. So far, it is working well.

Easy Install! Caveats I wish I'd known about
I bought this because it "integrates" with simplisafe alarms. What they don't tell you is that requires Simplisafe monitoring (at least $9.99/month) and the only thing it does is lock/unlock/ignore based on the alarm status. It does not set or unset alarm. Also the linking process is not documented anywhere. Yale support didn't know at all how to do it. You have to call simplisafe support and the directions they give are full of single sign on bugs between the two companies. If I weren't highly technical that would have been blocked me. That aside this is the easiest smart lock system I've ever installed by a country mile. I have had more than a few. The keypad is excellent and responsive. Glad I paid a little more to have it. The lock itself looks good and doesn't make the outside of my house ugly. It also locks well even though the deadbolt isn't perfectly aligned. The last Yale/Nest lock I had would error out at the slightest friction.

Installation was a snap, works, better than expected
Some reviews say there are no instructions. WRONG! There is one little piece of paper with two QR codes. One walks you through the lock installation, and the second walks you through the bridge installation. It took around 30 minutes to complete the installation. Now when I approach the door, it unlocks. Once in the house, the door locks after a preset time that you provide. It can be unlocked through Alexa after providing a verbal unlock code. Through the bridge and the app, it can be locked or unlocked from anywhere you have cell or wifi service. Great buy!

It is ok
Had it for a few months now. Works. But aome features are not that reliable - auto lock not always locking the door. Auto unlock not always working as well. I was also not able to connect it to Google home.
