Good basic starter set. Tutorial book not as informative as it could be for a total beginner

Buying bagpipes?
Firstly you need to learn on the chanter for at least a year, learning the scales then tunes. Only then you move onto bagpipes. Buying bagpipes around £100 is a complete waste of money. My set cost £1500 Go for reputable names like Henderson's, RG Hardie, Wallace or McCallums. These are only examples there are others. And you will need to be taught by a piper. Learning the bagpipes is not easy but not impossible. Very few people are self taught. Spend your money wisely.

Bagpipes for the win.
I didn't know I needed these until they came up in a recommended purchase ad. Absolutely amazing, as well as playing music, it's like wrestling an octopus so I gain fitbit points by just pumping them. They also drown out the noise from my mad neighbours, who pound the wall and wail whenever I start playing. In fact it was just by chance I was practicing the bagpipes when one of my neighbours pounded on my door at 4am last night. Update 25/03/2021 So I have new neighbours, no idea why the last ones moved out. Anyway, last night when I was playing the pipes, they came around and demanded a little respect. I said I don't know any Aretha Franklin but this one's for you.
