This USB-C hub has been really useful for my setup so far. I mainly bought it to connect my laptop to an external monitor and charge at the same time, and it works exactly as expected. The HDMI output looks clear, and the extra USB ports are convenient for a mouse, keyboard, and flash drive.The hub feels lightweight but still well made, especially for the price. I also like that the cable is flexible and doesn’t feel cheap or stiff. Everything connected quickly without needing extra drivers.The only thing to keep in mind is that it can get a little warm during longer use, but I haven’t had any performance problems because of it. 4.5 Stars – Great Device, but Wish It Had a USB-C OptionThe BENFEI USB-C Hub has been a solid addition to my setup, providing the essential connections I need for my Samsung S23U DeX setup and other devices. It works seamlessly for connecting a portable monitor via HDMI, along with a keyboard and mouse.I originally purchased this hub to use with a Dell 14 Portable Monitor (P1424H), but I ended up returning that monitor because it only supported USB-C/DisplayPort input, and we couldn't find a workable HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. Unfortunately, converting HDMI to USB-C isn’t easily done because it requires specific support for DisplayPort Alt Mode, which most hubs, including this one, don’t offer.One small downside is that this hub doesn’t come with a USB-C output option. While this isn't a huge issue for me, having that option would have made the hub more versatile and avoided some of the frustrations I had with the purchasing/returning headache with the Dell monitor. Despite that, it performs exactly as expected and has been reliable in my daily use.Overall, it’s a great, affordable solution for anyone needing a compact, multi-port Dex hub with HDMI support.

Bought this to hook up a third monitor to my laptop worked without hesitation. Plug the hub into my USB C port and the monitor into the HDMI. Functions and looks good.

I purchased this product because I am starting a YouTube channel and I needed multiple inputs so I can plug in my cameras, microphones and other recording equipment. My son who is helping me found this device and suggested I buy it. I have not regretted his advice. This product works as adverticed and it is space saving, it has the perfect amount of ports and connectinnecting is easy. A must buy if you need extra ports.

Wowza! Attaching a tablet or phone to other things w/o spending over $50? Sign me up! Fruit company should feel ashamed of their overpriced and limited-functionality dongles. Naughty, greedy. This doodad checks a lot of marks. The bag was a really cute bonus too. No issues of connectivity with MIDI devices (music keyboards, etc) Pretty happy with it. Metal casing feels solid. Compatible with everything I’ve tried thus far. Would recommend

I have a new(ish) MAC Air (the lower priced one...by lower price I mean still expensive). But, when I bought it, I didn't know there are NO, USB ports. This is my home computer and I don't really use the port too often, but there should be at least one. When did Apple stop adding at least one USB port. So weird. Rant done. This hub is fabulous. 3 USB ports and a Type-C charger port. Buy this, because it's very useful.

Well worth the money spent. Allows for more usb slots now that newer computers are downsizing the number of slots that they used to come with. No degradation in picture quality through hdmi, doesn't appear to slow down data transfer. Powers on with the computer it attaches to. Plug and play, no driver installation or software. I've only used on Windows computers, but I'm sure if whatever computer has a USB C, it would work. There are slots for charging devices. I bought a lot because there are a lot of employees needing to use it because their hdmi slots are not providing enough power to the output device they are using. They use a SMART board/tv that had a hard time reading the signal from the regular hdmi port. But once plugged into this hub, it had no issues recognizing it and broadcasting a signal.
