Great for any room. Looks great.

This large wall clock required extensive repair before use. The “volume” knob is used to depress a switch ostensibly for chime selection (it acts exactly like the set button) and the clock is still very loud when placed against the wall. The melody changes every hour (there are no partial hour tones) and appears to mimic a music box. The pendulum swung erratically until the movement was realigned to the clock face, which left the hands 4 degrees off. The theme of this round clock appears to be “young love,” although the primary image at the bottom of the clock is obscured by the pendulum.Setting the clock is a laborious process. When the chime module is powered on, it expects the current hour to be 6 AM. Advancing each hour requires waiting for the melody and chime to complete its performance before turning the hands or pressing the “set” button for the next hour.The clock requires four AA batteries. Inserting the batteries into the clockwork motor and the pendulum driver is quite difficult as there is little clearance and the pendulum arm is in the way, especially if trying to take care due to the fragile nature of the clock.I heard rattling before I opened the box, which appeared undamaged. There were parts visibly rolling inside the clock when the box was opened. Being an electronics tech on the side and with the thought that this review would be more informative with a working clock, I set to work. Every center-support locator lug on the front housing was snapped off. The three long legs that secure the center support to the rear housing were also broken off. The pendulum was knocked from its pivot at the top of the mechanism. The set knobs were rolling loose since the center support had separated and dropped away from the rear housing, and one extension contact pad that slips into the knobs was missing entirely. One lug was also snapped off the clock face. The wires appear to be twisted together rather that secured and insulated, and there was other damage that appeared to be the result of careless assembly, including grime on the inside of the glass.If the volume was adjustable, if the pendulum had swung correctly, and if it arrived on good condition this would be an interesting focal point of the room. I like the clock and probably will add volume control and perhaps align the hands in the future. While including poor design and assembly, my rating does NOT reflect the apparent shipping damage.Full disclosure: I ordered this Large Size Melody Wall Clock through the Amazon Vine program. As a user of the product, I have done my best to provide an honest review.

This clock is CRAP! We bought one and when we took it out of the box it had broken parts rolling around inside of the clock. We sent it back and got a replacement clock (same type of clock as the first one) and when we received it it was worst than the first. Glass was broken, buttons was broken and pushed in and there was a bunch of little broken parts rolling around inside. Do Not Buy!
