Working perfectly for me. I have it on the floor of a wide open closet about 8 feet from me and I don't really hear it. I'm not too sure what all the fuss about the fan noise is because I can't hear it. Handles 2.5G and 5G connections along with the 120G connections. This is an exceptiopnal unmanaged switch.

I received my unmanaged 8x10GbE switch in early November 2025. And have been using it for almost nine months now. I am currently using it in my network closet. And I use it to feed my 10GbE Backbone, on my home LAN. With a 10GbE input from my Asus BE-96U. And six of 10GbE ports go to my six, 2.5GbE switches, with 10GbE uplinks. That feed the 70+ wired devices on my home network. I am able to easily get 9.4Gbps speeds from any of the 10GbE ports. And I've had no issues with fan noise or heat from the unit. It has been very reliable during my use.

Works flawlessly. I have an 8GB internet connection and two Mac Studios with 10GB adapters. This shares the internet connection with them perfectly, giving each of them the maximum possible when they need it. It obviously doesn't turn my internet connection into a 16GB connection, but both of my computers can use the full 8GB connection when they need it. It shares the 8GB bandwidth between them on demand. It is quiet, has nice lights that flicker for the child inside me, and does what it is supposed to do. I'm happy with my purchase.

Well made little box - compact. Easy setup with confirmed 10Gbit connection. No concern with noise - it is fairly quiet for something like this.

Wow, bang for the Bucks! With 5cheap 5Ghz Dongles to USB-C, I have doubled my Ethernet Network Speed on same 2 meter Cat 6 cables! Going for 6 Port 10Ghz and 10Ghz dongles was way expensive. I set dongle Transmit Buffers to 64 and Receive Buffs to Maximum and I have a SOLID 560 MegaBytes/Sec transfer rate (LSOv2 and Receive Ceol enabled by default). Perfect for my Video server M2 NVMe 4TB drive on a heat sink! 2 Ports are open for the kids to plug in 2.5 or even old 1Ghz. But one of my ports is taken up by a 2.5 connection to the Gateway/Wifi 6/ISP.. With this unmanaged Switch, it's PLUG AND PLAY! Did try Jumbo Frames 9014, 590 MB/S solid! Sweet little GEM!

Works. Perfectly. I never had a problem with that in my NAS setup. Highly recommend.

Had it for a few days... here's my big 2 issues with this: 1) Fan is annoyingly loud compared to my netgear 10G switch, which is super quiet compared to this... I even swapped out the fan like one of the comments suggested with the Noctua NF-A4x20 Fans... nope, same loudness so it's just the way the motherboard operates this fan inside this case. Ugh! Noise..... 2) I noticed some dropouts when streaming. It's definitely not the ethernet cord since that's connected to my nvida pro. Streaming doesn't stutter or lag when connected from my Netgear Switch, but here and there it does on this one. What? They're both unmanaged switches, so nothing else is different when using the same ethernet cord. Other than that, I just moved my priority or high bandwidt devices to my Netgear and all else that I dont care so much for to this device. Sucks that I had to do this, but it's the only workaround. Another option was to return this and pay a few hundred more for a better switch, but my other devices isn't worth the price tag upgrade. Guess I'm just sticking to this one. Price tag is good otherwise, but you do get what you paid for! Definitely recommend only as a low budget and secondary switch. I would stay clear if it's going to be your primary unmanaged switch!

Bin begeistert, von dieser Switch. Möchte auch gar nicht groß darauf eingehen, aber der Lüfter ist sehr leise. Aus einer Sitzposition von etwa 2 Metern muss ich schon sehr darauf achten, damit ich ihn leise heraushören kann. Die Switch ist bei mir auch in einem Netzwerkschrank eingebaut und alles läuft super. Natürlich macht es mit den HDDs auf meiner NAS keinen Unterschied und es ist immer noch so schnell wie zuvor mit 2,5 Gbit/s. Aber da ich auch NVMe und SATA SSDs verbaut habe, macht es einen großen Unterschied. So habe ich in beide Richtungen bis zu 1,10 GB/s erreichen können. Bei mir sitzt im Netzwerkschrank direkt über dem Switch ein Lüfter, was auch von Vorteil sein kann.

Perfect!!! Built my house eth. backbone on this guy; changed all the cables to CAT 7, got 10G fiber from the ISP. I placed it in the basement due to the fan sound (you can barely hear it, but it is not for the living room). Tested with five simultaneous streamings in 4K, at the same time heavy download, no lag no delay, it’s just amazing.

Been working flawlessly for months now. Stays cool despite being in a warm patch panel. No complaints about this unit.
