Once assembled, it looks very nice. The wood looks very natural and it blends well with both light and dark wood. The reason I give it a 3 star is because of assembly. The holes do not line up well. Actually, it’s a nightmare to put together. If I had not already partially assembled it, I would have returned it. Again, the end product is nice, but I would never buy another.

These are sturdy little tables! I bought two for my mum and she loves them. Putting them together was a team effort since one of us had to hold it still to line up the screw holes but other than that it's perfect. The instructions were clear (and I'm a little worried why they had to warn people not to put it in a fire? You can't use a table in a fireplace ?? But as my mum says, if they have to warn, then someone did it). The wood pattern is wonderful.

Now I've made it up, I absolutely love this but beware, it's quite tricky to get the bottom shelf in place. I tried a few different ways, and I found that brute force was the winner. The instructions state to fix the legs on and then place the shelf, which is correct - they just don't tell you how hard it is to place it! After initially arguing with the instructions, I then thought maybe I should just loosen one of the legs... then all of the legs and then tighten them around the shelf, which was just not happening even with a second pair of hands. I gave that up and fixed the legs back on and was prepared to just not bother with the bottom shelf when my helper just decided to use sheer brute force (which worried me as I thought the shelf might break) and it popped into place! It seems those shelves are studier than I realised. Overall, I'm very happy with this, but if you struggle with dexterity at all, I would definitely ask for some help building it.
