Excellent lab coat for cooking
I wanted a 100% cotton labcoat, and these guys provided. I've used cheaper lab coats made of polyester before and you can get very hot wearing them as they are not as breathable.Cotton is hydrophilic. Polyester's hydrophobic. So if you wear a polyester jacket it's similar to wearing a trash bag. But a cotton jacket will suck the moisture off of your body and help to ventilate your heat away from you. This quality is very important because this lab coat pretty much runs from neck to low shins. The cuff specifically is a very desirable trait. I actually started looking for a lab coats for cooking specifically with a cuff because I ended up with a pretty bad burn on my upper wrist area from oil splatter.Although I could have gotten gloves to wear, I couldn't help but think it could have been anywhere else on my body.Cotton is the best! I actually really like the color flare for neck protection. I thought it was a gimmick at first until I actually got splattered with oil on my neck today while testing it frying beef. I pop that baby up!

Fantastic lab coat.
I purchased this directly from their website. Tried it on to make sure it fit then immediately dyed it black.I bought this for college biology/chemistry classes, so I can't speak for actual professionals, but I can say that this lab coat has more features than any others I've seen. I love that one breast pocket is dedicated to tools and pens with stitching that goes down the entire pocket (you can see this in my picture because the thread is synthetic and didn't take the dye). 2 breast pockets mean you can keep more tools on you at all times. One of the lower pockets has an additional inside pocket for a phone (for when you need/want to take a picture through a microscope), and the loops on the one sleeve for pens/markers are also a nice touch, as is the big loop on the side for a micropipette.Strong metal snaps, reinforced stitching, adjustable waist, knit cuffs. The literal only downside is that it only comes in one color...but it can be dyed to whatever color you want thanks to being 100% cotton. This lab coat was clearly designed for scientists instead of doctors.
