Affordably priced rack that will keep you safe and give you a few extras.
For the price I paid, this power rack is great quality. The assembly was enjoyable. The accessories and equipment are what I remember needing for a decent workout at my high school gym - and then more. The whole power rack is pretty solid. I don't doubt it can hold the 300 to 500 lbs. that I need it to, since I am just getting back into lifting. I do think there could be more stability side-to-side, but it is nothing I am worried about. The metal is powder-coated and some coating was missing around the edges of a couple pieces due to shipping. Assembling the power rack took me most of a day, but I am not practiced at assembling things. And it was somewhat enjoyable even for a novice because the instructions are clear and divided clearly by steps, with the hardware for each step plainly labeled so there is no guessing which bolts you need to grab. It comes with two flat crescent wrench tools which are great if you don't have tools of your own. I recommend a drill or driver with a 17mm socket to speed things up, just don't overtighten because the metal will start to bend. I love the fact that the kit I bought came with a lat-pulldown bar, a smaller flat bar, tricep pushdown rope attachment, and two D-handles with an ankle strap for flies and rows. It even came with dip handles for added tricep work or core workouts. I did not expect (probably because I wasn't shopping for it) a landmine attachment or a barbell holder. All of the extras were appreciated and make me glad I purchased this power rack. Here is my main criticism and my solution for it, so far. Upon trying out the barbell squat, I went to get under the bar and found myself almost touching the cable pulley assembly with my nose. I could get the bar without touching my nose, but I felt like it was too close. So for now, I switched the J-hooks to the rear bar and I will do squats facing backwards. The second criticism I have is that all of the accessories hanging from the hooks around the outside of the cage get in the way of my barbell. I will be removing most of the hooks and accessories to put them either on my wall or in a container on the floor. To sum it up, I simply wanted a power rack to perform squats and bench press safely without a spotter. I am definitely satisfied it will fulfill my purposes. And now I have the added core, arm, and back workout flexibility I wouldn't normally get with a home gym setup.

Honest review from a muscle mom
I give this product 5 stars for the following pros/ cons. I will start by saying Iโm a 5โ8 and 155lb muscle mom, my husband is 6โ4 and 200lbs. I will use us both for reference. Please do you research before you buy. I add my list here of things to hopefully help give more information from someone whoโs used it Daily for 5 months now. PROS 1. Squat rack options work great for me but it is a tight area inside so if your bigger you will need to squat outside the cage on the front. 2. Great for bench press 3. Very sturdy structure, has minimal giggle or movement when I load my weights on to the side storage rack. If you move them from there it probably wouldnโt be as sturdy. We had put it together in one spot and I decided to move it, letโs just say it wasnโt easy and took two people (still hard to move). 4. The instructions were great and easy to follow, it was easy to assemble in about 5 hours with 1 person doing it all themselves. 5. Land mine works great. I love using it for good mornings, RdL, rows, kneeling presses, pushups ect 6. Pulley system works best with HEAVY weight (70lb: plus) anything less is met with no eccentric control or resistance. CONS: 1. Cable system is really only good with heavy weight. -hard to do small isolating muscle exercises (triceps, biceps, glutes ect.) ****** I purchased some exercise bands that cover 10,20,30,40,50 lbs that I canโt do with this cable system. -The system seems to have a lot of resistance on the eccentric movement (the release of the exercise). - the pulley connection where the cable with your attachment comes out is awkward when you have it in the elevated position (lat pull down specifically I have to sit criss cross ). I am 5โ8 and when I kneel on the ground Iโm too tall for full range of motion with lat pull downs. - seated row: the foot plate makes no sense cause itโs way to close to the cage, you canโt keep that tension you want to in the position. But if I use a bench seated I can get a decent row. I ended up removing the foot plate. - RDL & hip abduction/ addiction: not going to happen with the cable system. The resistance gets met with all parts of the workouts. - Pulls ups: works for us if we both bend our knees. - the security bridge in the middle is SO hard to move to a new level, Iโm not sure if itโs just me but Iโve smashed my finger way too many times. Itโs hard to get them both lined up in the same hole. TIP: I kept about 2 feet from the wall, and about 1.5 feet measure wall to bottom back leg, just so I had space to move behind and load the weights Overall I love this and I would buy it again! Just get a bench to go with it!

Great Value for the Money
I switched from a Rogue Fitness wall mounted folding rack in my garage and wanted to move into the basement with something freestanding. I read the reviews of this rack and decided to give it a try. Here are my impressions upon unboxing: 1. Packaging - came in three boxes which were pretty heavy. I was able to move them myself but help would definitely make the job easier because of the length of the two bigger boxes. All equipment was accounted for and undamaged. 2. Equipment Quality - I would say this rack is EXACTLY what I expected it to be. Compared to the Rogue fitness rig I was coming from, the metal thickness/weight felt to be about 50-70% that of rogue. I knew this would not be as heavy duty as a Rogue Fitness build (3x3 11 gauge steel uprights), but I also think that I donโt need the J-cups and spotter arms to hold more than 500lbs MAX for any of my lifts. This rig is advertised as having a weight bearing capacity of 1600lbs, but I canโt nor would I recommend attempting to test that based on the feel of the rig. The welds look sloppy, but all seemed adequate to hold as required. All plastic parts/hardware/accessories were accounted for and free of damage. Overall, quality of the product is about exactly what I expected or maybe SLIGHTLY less than expected, for the price. 3. Assembly - the instruction/video were very straightforward. Assembly was time consuming but simple. A second set of hands can help when stabilizing the uprights, chin-up bar, or top cross members when building, but other than that itโs really a solo job. Pay attention to directionality for some of the uprights/crossmembers. I installed two backwards and cost myself some time. The cable will install WITHOUT removing the stopper ball (in fact, it cannot be removed). When installing the long single cable, you must run it all the way through the rig without the plastic pulleys installed. Once the cable is threaded entirely through the rig, then install the pulleys and bolt them in place. 4. Accessories - The accessories, like the rest of the rig, felt adequate, and about what I would expect for the price point. However, all of the bars, spotter arms, and J Cups feel very light in comparison to my rogue fitness rack. Again, I expected that going into this purchase, but I am still a little surprised with how different they feel. But the pieces seem adequate to get the job done, stressing again that my personal use with moderate weight will likely not be enough to stress this equipment to its compromise point. At least, that is my theory. I plan on continuing this review once I get some workouts under my belt. 5. Overall-without actually using this equipment yet, I rate it at four stars. Five stars would have been equivalent to my rogue fitness monster light wall mount system in quality. Again, I was not expecting rogue fitness quality out of this due to the lower price point. For an individual who is not going to bench or squat over 500 pounds, I feel this set up is safe and effective for the use. It would get out of one or two people in a household using the equipment on a daily or semi-daily basis. I think this equipment appears to be a great value for the price given all of the accessories, and the pulley system that come with the package. Very happy with this so far and Iโm excited to use it and put it through some pieces to see how it will hold up under actual stress. 6. Actual Use I have been using the rack for about 4 workouts now. It has held up great. The pulley system has worked fantastically and is my favorite part of the setup. Very smooth, but I may try lubricating the wight sled poles to see if that makes a difference. The dip bars move slightly when in use, but not to the point they feel unsafe. Not sure what the weight capacity is, but I would be nervous about going over 240 or so pounds. J cups work but are only flat and angled up. There is no lip at the end to catch your bar. I prefer j cups with a lip as I can rest the bar in its final position before removing. These still do the job, but that is a feature I miss. The spotter bars feel solid and capable of handling my weight should I fail. The spotter arms feel much less so (understandably) and wiggle slightly when in place as they are not exactly flush against the upright. The band pegs work as advertised. All the attachment, while feeling very light worked great and did everything I expected. Again, VERY happy with the equipment so far. Next test will be durability to see how it holds up in the next 3-6 months. UPDATE 10/9/26 2 years under my belt with this rack and itโs still going strong. Almost zero signs of wear. Gets used 4-5 times per weeks. Would not have expected it to hold up this well more than 2 years after purchase. Only small wear was some peeling back of rubber around one of the cables which I repaired with electrical tape to prevent further deterioration and the tear has not spread in over a year. Photo uploaded. HIGHLY recommend for a budget rack. Unless you are squatting or benching over 500lbs this rack is perfect. Only downside is no way to anchor to the ground so it โwalksโ when I rack bars. Thinking about a bracket solution for the footers but hasnโt bothered me enough to look into it yet.

Good for value, even with the concerns, it is so worth it
Itโs great for the price point. Instructions arenโt too hard to follow. The quality is reasonable due to the price. I wish it was a tiny bit taller but Iโm 6โ1 and can still make it work. There is a little wobble with the bar dips. Probably will put a piece of rubber in there tbh. I donโt know if I can trust the weight holders but so far theyโre holding with 3 plates. The Olympic bar holder is in the way of the lower right weight plate holder but itโs manageable. Wondering about the cable will manage over time with the weights on it but we shall see. So far Iโm very happy and those are my only criticisms. Build time: I did it by myself and had a ratchet. two times I put a bar facing the wrong way or the wrong side. It took me 2 hours and 30 minutes solo. I timed it. Closer to 2 hours since I did stop to set up music and clean up. If you plan to have a set of plates AND a set of bumper plates. Do yourself a favor and get another rack for the weights. There isn't enough room for two full sets. I fit six metal 45 plates on it with bumpers that are 2-45, 2-35, 2-25, 2-15, 2-10 bumper paltes. My 45 bumper plates sit on the side of the floor. everything else is crammed on. This is budget friendly and overall worth it. If you cant make it work, yet want this price, then it may be a hard truth its a you problem. I put off using this thing for way too long, but actually put it in practice and it is just fine now. Bench back squats power cleans, then i do my pull ups push ups, bent rows, lat pull downs, use the land mine, seated rows, you name it. I am going to use it for incline bench but haven't tried it yet. I see a lot of people want some crazy commercial ready gym but there's a reason the others are FIVE times the price minimum to get to this. If the cables die out on me, I will just replace them and buy a wire crimping tool to cut it and clamp it down. Its that easy. If you're truly worried about something breaking, it is so straight forward to fix. I am 240 6'1, I feel the bars and everything is stable. I don't feel like the cage will ever move or knock over. There really isn't a way to lock it down as there is a bar up front that keeps you from screwing it into the wall. So if you wanted to lock it down, you may need something on top pushing down but its so unrealistic to knock it over.

Excellt rack with everything you need for a home gym
I could have sworn I wrote a review for this at purchase, but clearly need to do so now. I'm about two years into using the rack almost daily and now two teens are as well. It was relatively easy to set up. It took a couple of hours, but I got there doing it solo. It's well built. I'm using it for compound lifts and bench lifts. I also have a suspension trainer on it and no issues. For a home gym everything is great and within reason for what it can handle and allows you to do. Customer service is a big plus. I had some parts that were damaged out of the box and that was resolved immediately. After some time, I had issues with a cable and that was also replaced quickly and accurately. I have been really impressed with the speed and accuracy of all the communication as much as the rack itself. This is overall a great value and you can trust there is someone working to make things right if you run into a problem.

Enough to cancel a gym membership
This with a bench and cheap bar+weights will probably allow you to cancel your gym membership, atleast it did for me, excluding cardio machines but you could just go for a run or walk up and down stairs. Ive had this for three months and ive had no real problems exept that the J-hooks are plastic and will wear down from the knurling on a barbell, but doesn't matter that much, slightly wiggly but not unstable, not too big, enough room to move my arms (im 5'10"). I like the alternate grip pull up bar and the pully adds tons of exercises compared to just the rack. Takes about 1-2 hours to build, you may need two people to install the top stability bars because it's hard to hold it in place and screw it together at the same time. Ive also had no problems with weight tipping the rack, but I don't think thats a problem for most power racks. There is an option to screw it to the ground but i just have it sitting on carpet. The stand to hold a bar vertically is the only thing I didn't install because my 7 foot bar was too tall and it didn't have enough clearence to get it inside so I just keep it on the safeties. Over all it's great.

Some design flaws. Overall a good power rack.
Overall this is an excellent power rack for my home gym. The pulley system works well and the side spotter rails are excellent and allows for protection in case you fail on a squat or bench press. The numbers on the uprights make it easier to set your J-hooks in the proper locations for benches, squats, and overhead presses. This rack seems sturdy enough for home use although it may not suit individuals who do some seriously heavy lifting. For the price, it can't be beat. There are however a few design flaws. If you set up your squat in the back of the rack, you will have difficulty due the cables being in your way. I couldn't get under the bar without having my face rubbing against the cables so i put the hooks on the other side. Secondly, whoever decided to place the upper weight storage posts where they are made a huge design error. I couldn't load the weights for a bench press due to the storage posts being in the way. I removed them altogether. This flaw made no sense to me. The purpose of a power rack is to set up INSIDE the rack with spotter rails to ensure your safety. Benching or squatting outside of the rack makes no sense: You might as well save space and purchase a half rack. The spotter arms on the outside are short and aren't going to save you in the event of a failed squat or bench press and defeat the purpose of having a full power rack. Don't get me wrong, this is a good rack, it's just that the design needs to be rethought. Assembly took me about 2.5 hours and the instruction manual is excellent. The packets of bolts are numbered for each step making it very easy to follow but you will need a second person to help install the chin-up bar and the cross bar that the lat pulldown rests on. The price of $389 is excellent but you may want to spend a few more dollars on a rack that doesn't have the design flaws this one has.

Stoked for this power rack!
This was my first power rack and i was pleasantly surprised! While the parts could have been labeled a bit better, the instructions were sufficient to get it together. Overall it's strong, well built, and fits all my needs. I absolutely love the landmine attachment and pulley system as well. I followed a prior reviewer's advice and inverted the pull-up bar, due to my low ceilings and it works great! If you're looking to upgrade your workout room on a budget, i highly recommend this power rack.
