Do I use flat top or button top 18650 batteries?

I have MULTIPLE flashlights that has the option of AAA or a 18650 battery. I have bought numerous 18650 rechargeable batteries and they will lose power over time when the flashlight has not been used. I have switched all of my flashlights to CR123A 3V Lithium batteries. Two of these batteries are equivalent to one 18650. I purchased the Streamlight batteries on Amazon (approximately $2/battery) and cannot be more pleased. These batteries have a 10 year shelf life and do not lose power when not in use. I would rather pay a few dollars more and go with the non-rechargeable batteries and know that my flashlights will always work when needed.

Do you have to cycle through many choices to turn this off or is this just an off/on flashlight?

Mine work both ways. I can push in the button at the end of the flashlight to turn on or off or if I just lightly push that same button and it changes the brightness from bright to less bright and if I turn the end of the lighted part of the flashlight it makes the light beam wide or narrow.

What is a good holster to use with this flashlight?

I use some 2 pack of holsters I bought off Amazon. XTAR the case.
