Worked well to restore headlight lens. Bought this kit for that purpose and it was well worth it. Good value.

Actually, this worked well for me.Given the cost of solar pathlights, the oldest ones hand panels that were seriously occluded ( towards opaqueness) after being outside year round in Florida. The cloudiness was so bad a general polish would not handle cleaning up the plastic (yes, these clear cover of the solar panels pathlights are indeed plastic and not glass).I was able to use my cordless drill and the 800 to 1000 grit to start the cleaning process (wet sanding .. I wetted the surface before using). After 1st wetting, increased the grit count higher and used a plastic polish made for headlights to refine the results.With mostly clear now, the final tough was to line then up on a worktable upright, and spray with a couple light coats of clear rustoleum uv rated outdoor paint.The solar pathlight panels look like almost new and are lasing longer in powering the lights down my driveway, sidewalk and around the house.Easy decision given the quantity of these sanding pads, papers and ability to use with the cordless dril. Economic price for the quantity too.Best thing is .. the width of these pads actually are easy to use when you consider the size of the solar pathlightsFor my purposes, this was a good choice to extend the pathlight lives.

Best polishing so far

I bought this to help restore the finish on my 40 year old fiberglass boat. I was able to attach these to my random orbital 3" polisher along with the pad and work away the grazing/checking that has manifested over the years of being in the UV light. Some disks lasted longer than expected, some did not. I used a wet sanding method with the higher grit discs and they lasted much longer and did the job beautifully.

Pads slip off. Backing pad and anchor always unscrew when used in my drill. Very annoying

Great set for a variety of uses. I use these to sand away old paint on a toolbox of mine and cut down orange peel on new paint. It has all the grits you will need for paint work. No issue with the adhesion, and can't do much better for the price.
