It works great, I've been using this hardwire kit for a week now and it's been great, now my dash cam only comes on when I turn the ignition on.. luckily my truck had an empty spot where I added this to, so pretty easy for me to install.. using it on a second gen Dodge ram

I originally bought another kit that was supposed to plug into existing wiring in the rearview mirror, but it turns out that on specific options (auto dimming mirror, etc.). Since that didn't work, I needed a kit that would plug into the fuse box... and this Gebildet kit worked great. For the Encore, you have to pull out the small accessory box by the driver's left knee (pull it down, pinch the back to get past the blocking clips, and then simply lift it out. The fuse box is behind it. You'll need light and to get down below it for access. I chose to use the inline additional fuse on fuse 22 (DC accessory) and grounded on the metal to plastic connector right by the drawer we removed to get here. Running the cable is a bit difficult, you have to pull the side plastic panel off, it can be "pushed" out from the opening to get to the fuse box. There are 4 retaining clips and it's best if it comes basically straight out. You can run the wire up the pillar and across to the mirror above the roof liner. So far the harness is working very well like this and seems well made. It's certainly not dealing with much heat or cold since it's inside the cabin. At this price, and coming with everything I needed it's a great value.

Spent 1.5h wiring it through my dash just to find that it doesn’t work. Should’ve listen to the reviews and tested before hand. Tested power and ground to confirm it wasn’t my mistake. Both are perfect. Only other factor is this unit, as the camera works perfect when plugged in with the provided 12v plug.

Works well used it for my dash camera comes with simple setup and is not issue to use. Would recommend

Great product simple to install and great price

Listen, for the price of a drive-thru burger, this thing is a steal. Instructions? Please. If you need a manual to play with your cars electrical currents, you’re in the wrong hobby. I snapped it in, hooked it up, and—voila—it worked perfectly. My only gripe is the fuse box blades. They’re thinner than my patience at a PTA meeting. They were rattling around in there like a penny in a dryer. I fixed it easily by applying a generous layer of industrial-grade chewing gum and some crumpled-up aluminum foil to thicken them up. Now it fits snug as a bug and the slight humming sound from the cars fuse box just lets me know it’s working. Great buy! Maybe not, but it gets the job done with a little finesse. No hammer needed.

In the product photos, there are 2 cables, yellow and red, but it only comes with a red cable. One should be constant electricity and the other should be electricity that comes only when the ignition is on, that is, the yellow color is what is missing.
