Very useful.
Just started using 2 dimensional miniatures and this is great. So useful. Very detailed. Easy to use. You can place other miniatures on top.

Perfect for an RPG campaign on the go!
I'm running a D&D Spelljammer campaign, and our group meets up somewhere other than my home, so I have to use only the props and tools I can carry with me. This set provided me with several "miniatures" for small ships, rowboats, cannons, sails, etc. It's perfect for what I need, and was actually better than I assumed it would be at a first glance at product description. The pieces look great, feature excellent details and more variety than you'd expect, and it packs flat for easy transport. Very glad I bought this!Update: The boat set was so good I later bought the thievesport set and the caravan set, and am very happy with all of them.

an innovative product
I received this river set this afternoon and I'm quite pleased with what I received. There are 4 straight river sections that are about 8" and printed on both sides. One side shows a fast-flowing current with white highlights, while the reverse has a slow current. There are 2 double-sided bridges , a wide wagon bridge and a narrow foot bridge. These are also double-sided with the wide bridge allowing a choice between wooden or stone construction, while the narrow bridge can either be recent or old construction. There are a pair of transition pieces to allow for bends and a couple of pieces that seem to indicate rocks in case your characters wish to ford the river without being spotted by any bridge guard. Finally, there is a piece that shows three lily pads with lotus blossoms. One factor to be aware of is that the 2d pieces are printed on transparent acetate and will need to be gently pulled apart. This may have confused other buyers.

Awesome if you're a DM with limited space
I love these, I only reason I took a star is because the pictures are printed in a way that you lose a little on some of the tiles. Aside from that it's exactly what I was hoping for.

Pictures don't do justice. Very useful gaming product.
These are terrific for gaming as they pack nicely whether you have storage concerns or are headed out to run a game somewhere. They are water proof, very sturdy and the colors are vibrant! With this set you get the main buildings your players will want to visit in your fantasy town: Chapel/Temple, Blacksmith shop and smithy, a general goods store, and a delightfully cozy tavern. Delightful!

A good concept that's overpriced and poorly executed
Downgraded to 2 stars after opening the Rivers pack to discover that only one side of one piece was printed with a river pattern.Using transparency allows for pieces that are easily layered and can be dropped onto other maps in an immersive way. There is a variety of specialized bits that go well with generic battlemaps. The downsides were:1. These are indeed printed on both sides, but the artwork looks darkened by the printing process so the details are hard to make out on some pieces.2. The artwork is evidently printed on one side of very glossy plastic. The result is that if you use the glossy side up, any overhead or even ambient lighting creates glare that make the pieces unusable. If you use them matte side up you don't get this problem, but the exposed paint is *very* vulnerable to scratching by minis or even casual handling.3. For the price point, I would like for neither of these things to be true. They're a great and useful idea that is almost exactly what you want but could benefit from some tweaking in production.

Scam
These were found under miniatures, but they’re just cut out and they fool you with the picture. They’re just flat pieces of cardboard junk.

These are cool!
We game on a big white wet-erase grid and having these clear plastic pieces to decorate with is good fun. I wouldn't want to hand-build an entire dungeon with these but the splashes of color they bring really liven up what is otherwise a simple map. They are prone to getting bumped though, so be careful when moving your minis.
