will this work with the Alera motorized repair machine?

Your repair machine is designed like the memorex one. This product was designed to work for the JFJ machine specifically. It may work, but not as well. The JFJ machine is so much better. I used to have the memorex model and am really glad I bought the JFJ. I've repaired some pretty badly scratched discs that wouldn't play back to playing. Good luck!

What’s the difference between the white and the blue?

Per the manual "The white solution #2 is a polish. The blue solution #1 is a wax". In practical terms you use the white one (then the blue) to remove medium scratches, and just the blue for light scratches, fingerprints or dust.

Will this work with an old model memorex optifix pro? It has 2 small pads that spin in a machine to repair. which of these are for repair & for clean

It may, but it will not work as well as it does in the JFJ machine. I've used the memorex and bought the JFJ later and so glad I did. It has repaired some unplayable discs back to working order. Good luck!

Could you use these compounds without buying the machine to polish blu ray discs? Discs keep freezing.

I would say that they wouldn't work like that. The machine spins the disks very quickly, polishing and repairing the disk. If you don't want to buy the machine, I would suggest checking with a local video store to see if they offer a disk cleaning service.
