This knife is more like a sword. If you plan to put this on your hip, wear suspenders, because the weight of it will likely take your pants off. If it is actually D2 steel, which is great material for something like this. You get your 60 dollars worth in raw materials alone. So it's a great value. It's huge, heavy, sharp, downright beastly, and very cool to look at or handle. No annoying logos on the blade either. I can't imagine I'd have a practical use for something like this. Unless I needed to kill a dinosaur or fight through a zombie apocalypse. It's not very versitile. It seems overkill even for camp site building. It could serve as a machete. I happen to have had a good experience with another of Warvio's knives. The one that could pass for a Buck 124. So I decided to grab up their biggest one just for the sake of it. I'm glad I did. It's a beautiful piece. I'll engrave it and put it in a display case most likely. As for the critiques. The blade and handle is 'almost' perfect. The blood grooves on either side are uneven. Looks like its not perfectly symmetrical either as the top down photos shows. The sheath looks used. As you can see from the pics the pattern is half worn off and there is a marker streak on the other side. The sheath is servicable but definitely not anything I'd put on display along with it. That being said. I still think its a great buy. For 60 bucks and this much steel you can't expect perfection. But the tang is real and after I touch it up a bit it'll look way better. I'd highly recommend it.

Very impressed with the quality and finish. This is a BIG knife. It would make Dundee proud. Real leather sheath and very sharp as delivered. Fit my hand very well with good balance.

Nice blade, straight + sharp, handle scales/ pins are all flush and nicely finished. Every bit of 18 inches and looks great. Comfortable grip and it feels tough.

Well, the case is a beautifully stitched and decorated piece of strong and sturdy leather made to contain a great work of knife making. The blade is seriously sharp and definitely functional, and a great top heavy piece of skill that gives me a warm feeling of security and we'll being in just grasping the smooth mixture of wood, hilt, bolsters, and pummel; in a handle of flawless control and security. Mine has a pronounced sideways creak through the hilt that must be from an unbalanced hilt fit, and a rub mark that accents the back spine near the hilt, but that's not enough to make me return the knife considering the generous attributes against the price. A great buy I'd say.

Solid knife. Has some heft to it.

This knife is a beast! Although I will admit it comes with a few minor ding marks on the handle and blemishes on the brass areas. But nonetheless, it's still a badass knife. It's a heavy and solid blade, it does arrive to you super sharp so be aware when removing it from the sheath. The leather sheath is well-made. Overall a great purchase.

First of all, for the price the item is acceptable but barely. Mine didn't pass the paper test. If you just want big and sexy it meets the marks. First impressions include; the design on the sheath could be more prominent. Its not pressed into the leather very far. The blade itself is pretty solid and without defects. The handle is way to big! I have big hands and there is no way to properly use the finger grooves. That said its not too uncomfortable. It feels very front heavy, not sure of the gaurd and pommel material but its not heavy enough whatever it is and mine has scuff marks on both out of the box. To top it off the handle has a crack that may or may not eventually become a problem. Coulda been a 10 but its a 6.

Well made

This thing is a huuuge solid blade. Edge was decent out of the box and edge retention seems good after a little chopping. Time will tell how it holds up after more use. As shown in the video, the guard came loose after the first swing on a branch. Doesn't seem to effect functionality, just annoying. If you have small hands the finger grooves might not be comfortable. That being said, I LOVE this thing for $100. Its a gigantic beefy blade that feels like a short sword. I'm happy with it. Would have been 5 stars if the guard wasn't loose. (Esee5 at the top shown for size comparison)

It's almost perfect, very sharp the weight is excellent to cut woods to survive another cold night of camping. But after 3 or 4 swings the guard starts wabling . It can do the job with extra noise.

Great knife love it but I didn't receive the sheath for it not very pleased about it, pretty sure someone opened the second box because the tape was cut, maybe took the sheath hmmm
