1 of the most frequent causes of guitar damage is inappropriate humidification. Either too high or too low humidity can reduce a $6,000 dollar high end guitar to a $6 dollar pile of firewood, faster than anything (with the possible exception of leaving it in the locked trunk of your car during 100 degree days - but thats just dumb). The Bovida large instrument humidity set is a nearly perfect solution to this problem. When humidity goes too high the packs will absorb moisture and protect your guitar from swelling and deforming. There is 1 caveat: if you live in an area which has a period of extreme sustained low humidity during the year, oe 49% humidity packs are probably not going to work for you completely. You'll be just fine 8 months out of the year. however from November through the end of February in the Northeast at least the margins from a pack at 49% cannot maintain sufficient humidity for most guitars. you'll want to swap in Bovida's 58% humidity packs during that. - they fit in the same holders- and you'll be fine during that time as well

Ive damaged a couple guitars in my day by drying out. Tried several different types with mixed effectiveness. These packs do a nice job. I put two in each guitar case. They last about 3 months. Pretty good.

Humidity issues will DESTROY your guitar. Or several of your guitars. Ask me how I know :( Boveda lives in the humidor for my cigars, and the system makes perfect sense for being inside the guitar case. I’d recommend keeping them in the junk box, though they’re safe for covering sound holes, etc. No more expensive luthier trips 2 hours from home for THIS guy. :)

Tried several other humidity control products and this is the only thing that worked to get my Martin guitar back to playable again. Put both packs on the guitar (one on headstock and one in soundhole) and left in the case. After about 4 days the guitar was back to fully playable again. Humidistat inside case says around 42% humidity but it is insanely dry here right now so I'd still say that's pretty good. Will be replacing every few months going forward!

Got this to raise humidity in the Ibanez gig bag in which I store my Ibanez bass. Our home's ambient humidity has averaged 25% in these winter months. To be fair, I'm asking a lot of a case humidifier, given that low percentage. However, at best, this humidifier has raised humidity in the gig bag by about 7 percentage points. That's a step in the right direction but is far short of the 45% advertised. This Boveda system might be more effective in a hard case. In the meantime, I'm working on installing a whole home humidifier to eliminate the problem.

I already had the nomad humidifiers but in my gator cases the humidity was too high. I tried the boveda kit but it was a little lower than I wanted maybe up to 40%. I live in Las Vegas. But when I used the 2 together it worked great. The boveda would bring it down and the nomad kept it a little higher. Whatever works is fine for me

Disappointed for its performance. Only achieved ~60% for humidity control.

ヴィンテージギター買ったのですが、トラスロッド緩め方向余裕なしの格安個体。ネックが動かない対策何かないか調べてたらこれをケースに入れて保管するようにとのこと。高かったがケース内を適度な湿度に調整してくれるそうだから期待をこめて5スター。

J'ai essayer ceux de d'addario ,je confirme que les boveda sont supérieur.En terme de durabilitée ainsi que les pochettes sont d'une bonne qualité.Maintenant j'utilise seulement cette marque.

I purchased this for my Leho Solid Mahogany Ukulele. It's my first solid uke and I wanted to make sure all is well. I've used Boveda products for a few years now, mostly for my classical guitars, and have never had an issue. They work as advertised and have served me well. I do wish that they were cheaper, but given the frequency of replacement, it's not really an issue. 5/5 for the product itself, however a 4/5 for the price!
