These are great, but you definitely need to have space in your freezer for them as they are big! They also need to be flat because the top is open.I used them to make ice cubes that lasted longer for my chickens in the summer. I put the cubes inside of a large feed bin and sometimes I would add peas or fruit before freezing to entice the chickens to stand on them and peck at them. It helped to keep them cool in the heat of summer.

My husband purchased these for ice plunging at the fire station. The department provides the tube but not the ice. They use them every shift. it gets the water into the 40's. Nice and cold. Very inexpensive investment for cold plunging.

I got this because a large ice block in a cooler is much, much longer lasting than cubes. It's made decently but could have been made thicker to prevent the side walls from bowing out. This happens with just the weight of the water before it even freezes. I think just tying a piece of string around the center would prevent this though. Either way the shape of the block doesn't really matter for what I use them for. Just remember, it takes far longer for a block to melt than a cube. These will pay for themselves in money saved buying from bags of ice.

Really nice makes very nice ice blocks. Soft and very ,pliable so ice comes out easy in a perfect block of ice. Our store quit selling blocks, so we make our own. They last a lot longer than cubes!

We can’t find ice block in town anymore. These work great and seem to be good quality.
