Light and strong enogh for lifting a comact SUV. Good lifting height.
This review is for 2 Ton aluminum Arcan floor jack. The instruction booklet that came with the package indicates the product weight as 46.3 lbs and the package weight as 50.7 lbs. It is definitely much lighter than my previous 3-1/2 ton steel jack and it is light enough to easily maneuver it around or for one person to load it into a car trunk for trasporting it. We have Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX 5 SUV's and their weight is in the range 1.75 to 1.9 ton and the actual weight the jack sees will be a fraction of that; therefore, the jack should be strong enough, with good safety margin and it should last for a very long time. I do not recommend this jack for lifting a heavy SUV or truck. Clearly written instruction was included with the package. I tested the jack lifting my RAV4 and let it stay up for 30 minutes. It heldup. If you need to lift compact SUVs and sedans, this is the optimum jack.

Stable, light and sturdy. We will see how long it last.
I've only had this a short time. I will say at this point it works great. It's SO light. And yes the wheels are metal and has a nice saddle pad. Even though it light in weight its still stable and sturdy. I've been lifting an Avalanche, Tahoe and a Silverado with out any problems.

Very solid build jack
Well, what is there to say about a jack? I got a new car which I plan on doing extensive work to, and as such I needed to replace my old little 1 ton or whatever it was rated at jack. Having already experienced a scare with an improperly placed jack in my time, I've grown very cautious when it comes to working on a car with a jack and jack stands (or maybe I'm spoiled by friends who work at shops with lifts). I can gladly say that this is probably the best jack I've worked with. It has a nice low profile design that allows you to get under most lowered cars, but there are probably better jacks out there if you have an extremely low sitting car. It raises a vehicle very quickly and without too many pumps, and by far the most important thing to me, it lowers a car smoothly without having to worry about it dropping out on you. I also set jack stands under it but left it under the K member supporting the entire weight of the front of the car for a good 15 minutes or so and it didn't appear to lose any pressure or drop at all. As others mentioned, the quality is surprisingly good, and the reviews here are a large part of why I bought this particular jack. For the price I am very impressed and feel much more confident using this jack than any other I've used in the past. In fact, I'd say I was a little more excited about this jack than you'd normally expect a person to be about a tool, haha. I expect to get many good years of use out of this jack and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a new jack for a small to mid sized car. If you have a larger truck or SUV, you may want to consider getting a jack with a higher lift and capacity.

Awesome floor jack
Awesome floor jack! Heavier than expected given that it's made from aluminum, but also much beefier than even steel ones I've used in the past. This is a bit of a monster for a diy'er, make sure you look at pictures online that show scale before buying. Personally, I think the size is a plus, but may be too big if you're looking to keep it in your trunk. Lever is very long, and I love that you don't remove the handle to lower the jack. There is a u-joint that connects to a square recess in the handle that allows you to lower the jack when its in the same position as when jacking up the car. Doesn't require very many pumps to get a car of the ground, way less than a cheapo jack. Pad is huge, which spreads out the weight, and it has a nice rubber insert for gentle contact. Fairly low profile, I can't see getting it under your vehicle being a problem unless it's an inch off the ground... All-in-all just a great all around jack, highly recommend it to anyone that works one their own car. Buy it, and you'll quickly realize the time savings justifies the price.

Beast without a handle
Uhhh yea...this is how it came. They could’ve at least double boxed this package in the hopes that everything would arrive. *My pump poles were not in the box when I got it. ***Which I would like to seller to send a replacement! But to test I used an old handle from my old Jack so I was able to test the function. (They fit very loosely but I was able to check the functionality of the Jack)- I am happy to say that it is awesome!! For the test: I tested the pump and release with no load and everything worked properly so I took her outside. I jacked up one side of my tool trailer that night, jacked it up just enough to fit the coat can between the ground and my tire. I left it all night and all day the next day/24 hrs. The next night I came in to find my coke can indented- it didn’t calm down at all so it had no problem holding about 2300 pounds for 24 hours.- ( this means that all internal hydraulics are solid/leak free & in great shape.) So then I took the coat to the fridge where I traded it for a beer, which I drank as I was putting my new Jack away. *I will update in a couple of months. **I will also update and let you know if the seller decides to make it right by sending me a new pump handle. -Full/solid handle would be great :) But a 2 piece I’m fine too:(

It’s like a sore Richard, you can’t beat it!
I went to harbor freight and paid $87 for their 1.5ton aluminum jack. It felt weak and unsafe. Exchanged it for the Daytona 1.5ton low profile racing jack. It was pretty good; >3” weighted 36lbs and felt way better then the previous one. But it only lifts a maximum of 16” so it was more of a novelty item. And it cost $369 Ultimately, harbor freight has a great selection of ‘good enough’ floor jacks. But for me, it’s a tool that you never want to fail. Forget getting hurt, I don’t want to mess up a customers vehicle and explain how my faulty tool is the cause of the damage. If you use a floor jack more then once a month, then for your sake, for your daughters sake, buy an Arcan. I will say, I purchased this on prime day and got it for 25% off ($223ish) but even at $300 it’s a great buy considering all the options. 58lbs is super light. Feels lighter to be honest 3” deck height and lifts to 19” That’s higher then the 3ton at 18” And lower then the 3ton as well

I would buy it again
