LANOLIN 1 lb. USP Grade Anhydrous 100% Pure Skin Moisturizer

I ordered this for nighttime use to moisturize my nails. The lanolin is thick therefore it stays on my nail for longer periods. As stated I use this at nighttime and cover my hands with cotton gloves to keep the product on my hands/nails for more thorough moisturizing. I am hoping to help my dry brittle nails. This product can also be used in many home made, more natural moisturizing products or ointments. This product is thick and waxy...it does not rub on like a hand cream...it is meant to stay in contact to protect skin from the loss of moisture. It is beneficial for skin, hair, and is widely recommended for breastfeeding mothers experiencing nipple irritation. It is an all-natural product that closely replicates sebum oil that humans naturally secrete. It may be considered comparable to petroleum jelly, but I feel it is a bit more waxy. It provides a protective barrier on skin to reduce the loss of moisture by up to 98%.

I use pure lanolin to keep my thumbs from cracking. It stinks, so buy pure peppermint oil to mix with it so I don't gross out my wife. I bought this one because it's now the cheapest in the 1 lb. size, expecting the usual goat smell. Very pleasantly surprised. Odor is mild enough to skip the peppermint!

Love love love This is a barrier for locking in moisture for your entire bodies skincare routine. My skin under my neck was starting to look creepy and this fixed it in days. Great for rubbing in dry, ashy, cracked hands, elbows, knees, feet, and lips after a good lipscrub and lipmask. ESPECIALLY during the cold season. I even carry a small container of it around in my purse to use as lipgloss. Fenty who? I love my fenty but this gives me just as much shine and moisturing properties, and will least me foreverrrrrr. No wierd offensive smell (think unscented Vaseline). It's not sticky. Once absorbed it leaves my skin feeling super soft. You get a lot. A little does go a long way. In cooler temperatures it's becomes more solid and thick but a little body heat melts it.

I've bought tiny tubs of, lanolin for $24+ in the past, but wholly wow, an ENTIRE POUND (16oz) of it for, $10!!?!??? Amazing!!! I love it! I just use it straight from the container as lotion for my legs, tattoos, hands, & lips (as lip balm). The, Peppermint Burt's Bees lip balm I've been using for like, 20 years, has started, irritating my lips, & I had run out of my tiny container of, lanolin, so bought this & yay, soft smooth, non-flaky lips, again!!! As others have mentioned, the smell - yes it stinks when you shove your nose into the tub, but on my lips, right under my nose, I can't smell anything. Also, lanolin is the sebum, from sheep; it's an animal product, so it's gonna have a scent. This lanolin is the exact same, as less for more, lanolin products on here. I'm happy w/ this product, as I've used quite a bit already, & will top up w/ this seller & product, again!

UNLIKE numerous other products that contain lanolin, this IS 100% PURE LANOLIN... THE BEST AVAILABLE. BUT... as other customers have correctly stated, this product comes in a plastic bag -- a BIG detriment. I scraped all of the lanolin OUT of the bag and placed it in a plastic jar (taken from chicken bouillon powder mix). Once I transferred the lanolin into the plastic jar, I was able to store and use the lanolin easily. I bought small plastic cosmetic containers to hold the lanolin (Houseables 3 Gram Jar, 3 ML Jar, 50 pcs, BPA Free, Cosmetic Sample Empty Container, Plastic, Round Pot Black Screw Cap Lid, Small Tiny 3g Bottle, for Make Up, Eye Shadow, Nails, Powder, Paint, Jewelry). It's easy to place the lanolin in these containers and you can take them ANYWHERE... slip in your pocket, purse.... you name it. I put several in my trumpet cases (7 different cases) so I always have slide grease available. This product is better than ANY synthetic slide grease out on the Market. I know, because I have been using 100% Lanolin since ~1964 when I was first introduced to it by Vincent Dell'Osa (principal brass repair expert for the Philadephia Orchestra -- a legend of his time).

Nice and light colored, low odor. I bought the same product in 2023 (from the same Amazon listing), and was disappointed. It was dark in color and very smelly. This order (in October 2025) was exactly what I was looking for.

Amazing. I purchased this years ago and I do remember it being darker. It is lighter and the scent is light, with a very normal Lanolin smell to it. This is a nice and thick high quality Lanolin. I would absolutely purchase again! Thank you.
