ZOOM Hydraulic Disc Brake Calipers: HB-100 MTB Ebike Front & Rear Set

Plush and powerful, big upgrade over mechanical and I went with a bigger rotor and adapter. A little tricky to get it lined up perfectly with the included washers but pretty straightforward. Leave the plastic tab in until you're ready to drop in the wheel and tighten the cable last, just enough to take up slack. Finally, tighten attachment bolts after centering the caliper by pushing the brake lever. Do not activate the brake without something separating the pads, eg. the yellow tab or your brake rotor. Follow bed in procedure, and voila you have great looking and powerful brakes. Can't comment on durability since I just installed, but I will update later. I would recommend these, especially at this price. Pretty much plug and play. I also read somewhere that you don't tighten the cable as you would with the mechanical brake after the pads have worn in, instead use the barrel adjuster which is above the brake cable where it attaches to the caliper. Very nice looking and an inexpensive upgrade. Zero noise and impressive stopping power.

Easy to put on. A friend put on for me as I was sceptical about them. It took him 10 minutes and they were a definite improvement. I’m not an expert but to me they are as good as the full hydraulics on my old bike.

nice brakes after you break them in. the install was not bad but NO INSTRUCTIONS and simple box. they DONT INCLUDE THE CABLE END CAPS.... these are 100% needed after you have to cut the cable to remove old caliper and install new one. WHY NO END CAPS ...there really inexpensive. AND NO EXTRA WASHERS for spacing. these two items cost about 5 cents really to the maker and make installing alot easy. most caliper installs involve centering the caliper to the post and it not allways a exact fit. and not end caps when everyone has to cut the the old end cap off is a huge problem as you now need to order end caps and probley washers too! i had some squealing after so i probley need to do the paper trick to get them spaced better. as brake pads and rotors get used they expand meaning you need a min extra space to allowing for expanding. brake makers should provide a super thin spacer you can remove after adjustment so there room for expanding due to heat. a super thin metal like what used to do valve lashing or you might wanna buy two for getting for you install. that way you get no brake squeal after. as when the temp changes the pads are not in direct contact when not in use.

It’s a little tough to set up. You may have to play with it back-and-forth for a bit, but once it is set up, it is very effective and breaks very smoothly no squeals no noises. I replaced my Ozark Trail with this and previously it used to constantly squeal and was very annoying with the braking also but this brakes on a dime.

I replaced rear mechanical caliper with zoom caliper, centered by depressing brake handle and tightened centering adjustment screws. Brake handle feels firm and wheel will brake while off ground. When I test while riding new caliper barely seems to slow e-bike. Brake handle is not spongy and was sold as not needing to require bleeding. No instructions were included with caliper to do so.

These hydraulic calipers are great after the first week! Easy to install if you have any kind of mechanical inclination and will throw you over the bars if you hit the front brake too hard. Stop 100% better than the mechanical calipers that come stock and minimal noise, great value.

These were easy to install and are still working great. I originally purchased 3 sets for my family's ebikes. Would definitely buy again

These made a definite improvement in my Velotric Discover mechanical brakes. Probably not as much as changing to a fully hydraulic system, but the upgrade couldn't have been easier, and the brakes are much smoother now. I am very satisfied.
