Good for the price
Replaced a swing gate opener that stripped the plastic gears with in a month. This actuator has good solid worm gears plenty of power for my 17 foot gate it is slow on 12 volt so I run it on 24 volt and works like normal gate swing as far as how long it will last time will tell but so far it works better than a purpose built gate opener. I did have to modify it to fit the heavier attachment brackets I already had and paired it with a 30 amp remote controller the one that came with my gate opener never worked well. The price for this one is so cheap had me worried but it works better than the 600 dollar gate system from ZUMI which sucked

Works great stretching cable.
I needed to stretch 1/8 steel cable to make it tight to eliminate as much sag as I could. The actuator worked great. I suggest putting some hash marks with a marking pen on the rod, so you can see it moving, because it really does move slow.

Powerful and strong. Slow speed.
Powerful linear actuator but slow moving. Note the .19"/s = more than a minute for full stroke actuation

Slow but Strong
They are as powerful as claimed. not fast, the 16" will take a minute or more 1 direction. the brackets and pins might be able to be used, but Im using 5/8 head grade 8 bolts, the largest that will fit through the motor end. it was bending regular bolts. experimenting with a tilt deck trailer and using 2 in sync. 1st try it worked a few times, but it was likely my install and the bolt that bent that caused it to fail. at $40 each i can experiment abit. hydraulic systems are over $1000. ill send pics later if it works . slow but strong

Awesome quality and price point with many options they can be used for
Outstanding quality. I use it to lift my 500+ pound bed on my truck I built. It was easy to build brackets and mount. It pushes and pulls the bed nice and smooth I also like how well it locks the bed no mater what position it is in. To me it is very quite without truck running. This was the perfect solution to not have a bunch of hydraulic stuff all under the bed area now leaving room for the air tank and compressor stuff for the suspension.

I doubt it had do 1320lbs and the brackets will bend at just 60lbs.
It says 1320lbs, and I know its all about physics and angles, but using on a lift table for 220 lbs it struggled, so I added 200lb pneumatic arms. And as for the brackets, just toss them. They are so thin they will just bend at 60lbs. I made my own out of 1/8" steel. Extension and retraction is slow, even slower trying to lift anything, but I was not expecting it to be this slow. It works for what I need with the help of the pneumatic lift arms.

Watch out for defective units tha will seize up, faulty microswitches are used.
Careful when you use pairs, two of four so far had stopped working intermittently and twisted 12 of my solar panels one morning using all 1200lbs of force on both arraya. I expected it to last more than a month. Unit is shielded from rain so no water ingress was the issues. I'm suspecting cheap microswitches are to blame or a bad microswitch trigger. I may try and install better limit switches or potentially bypass them entirely for a more reliable tracking system. If I smacked the actuator it started working again, that is why I suspect the microswitches. Do not use in pairs on automated systems, it will result in descruction.

Working well for my solar array
Have this moving my solar array, with six large 455w panels, for over a year now and it’s still working great! It’s also super quite. Once this dies, I’ll be buying another.
