Microsoft T3H-00013 HD-3000 LifeCam Webcam

I had a need for video links. I know nothing about what is available, or how to set it up. This was suggested by a friend. It was a good price, and setting it up was a doddle. It worked well and did the job nicely. I would happily recommend.

The 720p is an amazing picture quality for such a nicely priced webcam and would absolutely recommend it for video chats/conferences, there is no setup just plug it in and use it. However even though it is expected i cant give an honest 5 star only due to the fact the microphone is super sensitive to surrounding sounds, it will clearly pick up me scrathing a pillow from the other side of the room or distant car noises in the background but is low quality so its quite a mushy static background noise, however I don't mind and so shouldnt you if your using a different microphone. If this didnt even have a microphone i wouldnt have to include its rating based on both but i would say the camera function itself is top quality for such a low price, would recommend

Urgently required a webcam that would work with Windows 10 on a 6 year old PC - (original LifeCam would not work after various upgrades). This Microsoft unit is small, discreet and installs out of the box. A simple basic webcam that does what one expects. Picture quality and sound good. For such a relatively low-price, this ticked all my boxes. Good product.

Bought it for a friend who has been struggling with "Team" sessions on phones and tablets. Now he can do them on his Desktop. Picture is great, sound is great and why pay stupid money for some of the Webcams when there are great little cameras like this on the market

Image quality is let down by poor contrast and exposure - the darker photo is from the LifeCam, and the brighter one from my laptop's webcam. Slightly different angles, all settings left to auto for the 'Camera' app in Windows 10. Not impressed by it personally. The main positive is that the rubberised bendable mount that they borrowed from the Microsoft Arc mouse - it lets you perch the webcam securely on the edge of a monitor, or as a stand. Good idea and build quality, let down by barely-HD resolution and general picture quality. I've kept it only because I like being able to re-position it depending on the type of meeting I'm having - i.e. if I'm presenting to people or just listening.

Very impressed with the quality of the picture, just plugged it in and it was working within seconds. Have been using it every weekday (several times a day) for the last 3 weeks with no complaints or problems. Highly recommend

"It just works" Pros: + LOW price. Definitely worth £18. + HD video (pretty enough for Skype) + Automatic light compensation works well. + Flex-mount can double as a camera stand. Cons: - Blurry image. - Poor audio. Terrible microphone does nothing to reduce ambient noise. - No 1080p recording. - No vertical tilt. - Tough to attach securely to computer screen. • The design was not right for my cousin's laptop as there is no way of firmly securing it.. and it tends to wobble if the laptop is moved. Overall, though, the Microsoft HD 3000 LifeCam Webcam probably offers the best video at this price, and it’s a good choice if you need it for Skype, Viber, WhatsApp calls or if you just want to save money.

The camera is a self standing one, excellent picture and absolutely good value for money. it works as a "plug and play" and I had no problems with it since installing it. Excellent indeed!

He adquirido esta webcam para poder grabar explicaciones de montaje de unas piezas por internet, y me ha gustado bastante. La imagen es muy nítida y enfoca bien, mucho mejor que la integrada en el portátil. El soporte es flexible y se puede ajustar al marco de cualquier monitor o apoyarlo en la mesa. La calidad de los materiales es muy aceptable y da cierta sensación a robustez. Se instala automáticamente en Windows 10, aunque también es compatible con Linux (incluso con Raspberry Pi). A día de hoy (22 de junio) el precio es 17.75€, por lo que relación calidad/precio creo que es ideal. Adjunto foto realizada al teclado del portátil de noche y con muy poca luz.
