I have had these blackhead extrctors for a while now, I discovered the exitance of such things when my daughter told me about them. She had her own set and I borrowed one (I know, gross but I cleaned it thoroughly with alcohol both before and after use) and Iliked using it, so I got a set of my own. First off, the case. I really like the little hard silver case these blackhead extractors come in. It looks nice and is good protection for the tools. It is a little hard to get the case to open when I need to use a tool, but Ihave found that if Iturn the case backwards in my hand it is easier to open it. So instead of holding it the way you would just naturally hold a case like this, with the hinge facing away from you, turn the case in your hand so the hinge faces you, then open it facing away from you. Inside the case is a nice little liner that has individual indentations for each of the tools. Very nice. On the subject of the tools themselves, they are very handy indeed. I have already picked a favorite and I use just that one ninety nine percent of the time. But it is good to have alternatives when needed. I did try the one that has the lancing device on one end, and managed to get it into a large whitehead so I could extract it without making my face bleed. Sucess! I use my favorite of the blackhead extractor tools almost every night while I'm swishing anti cavity rinse around in my mouth after brushing my teeth. It is great for getting out blackheads and whiteheads. I have quite frequently even found some that I had no idea were as large or as hard as they were until I pulled them out with this extractor. The tool itself is gentle on my face, never making me bleed unless I go back over a pore that has already been cleaned out and has no junk left in it. Even then, it's just a small drop of blood that comes to the surface, and it doesn't leave ugly marks on my face the way squeezing my face used to do. I can get to blackheads I never used to be able to get, with a minimum amount of pressure on my face. My skin is looking good now that I can easily keep my pores cleaned out! Another bonus for me is that my son can also borrow these and he no longer asks me to "pop his pimples" on his shoulders as often. The instructions that come with the tools mention cleaning them with alcohol both before and after use, but I have gotten lazy and just wipe them clean on a towel as I use them. (My son does not use the same one I do, so it's not being shared.) I am only using them for blackheads, not acne, so I'm not as concerned about sterility. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the case just a little easier to open.

Nice case and wide array of tools but none are as fine/thin wire as I’ve used before so don’t seem as effective. But it’s a nice kit and a good intro to using these kinds of tools.
