Dependable
For almost 10 years, this ES6000 has been the best Jump Starter ever. I purchased it to jump start my diesel RV, because the batteries couldn't take the cold while living out in the upper mid-west. It never failed. I have continued to use it for my truck, ATVs, zero-turn mower, neighbors vehicles, strangers vehicles, you name it. It just recently started to not want to recharge. I recently purchased a smaller jump starter by a different brand, and it failed to start my pick-up truck after being fully charged. Dropped it off at UPS this morning and about to order another ES6000. I don't have the RV anymore, but I want a jump starter that I can depend on.

Dependable Power
I have a 2005 2.7L Diesel MB Sprinter. Gets cold up here in Northern NE. This unit has not yet failed to start my truck, old battery and all. Just started using the 12V power port to keep my cellphone charged. I frequently lose solar power this cloudy time of year. But this unit holds on to dear life with a solid charge. Highly recommended to get this off-grid cancer patient to his doctor appointments. Should have done this years ago

$2 Design Flaw Rendered This $279.95 Unit Inoperable!!!
This was a great jumper box, before the nut fell off of the charging port threads...and the charging port eventually fell into the unit. I emailed Clore Automotive to explain how this $2 design flaw rendered my jumper box inoperative and ask them to repair or replace this unit...to make it right. The response that I received was, "You would have to take the unit apart to be able to hold in side as you tighten the nut. Thank you," So, that response didn't include a "Hey, so sorry to hear that you're having to deal with this, "No worries, we'll make this right," or even a "Hello." I tried separating the case, but I wasn't able to... Even if I had been able to separate the case, I couldn't get a 10mm socket into the recessed area around the charging port nut anyway. Regardless, I'm just a guy who forked out $279.95 for this ES6000 to prevent myself or a loved one from being stranded somewhere...not to spend my time before work this morning, practicing my jumper box repair skills. However, in all fairness... As much as I never want to buy another Clore product, I've never had any issues with the ES5000 (different charging port design), so I may continue to purchase those. For only $10 more than I paid for the ES6000 (3,000 Peak Amps), I can purchase two ES5000 units (1,500 Peak Amps each)...and just attach one jumper box to each of the batteries on my truck. As far as the ES6000 goes though...seriously Clore...why not just use the bulletproof charging port design that's on the ES5000?

Reliable and Powerful Jump Starter with Longevity
Having owned this exact model for almost a decade, I can attest to its durability until recently when it finally stopped working. This jump starter has proven its strength over the years, consistently reviving vehicles when other boosters failed. Interestingly, I discovered that a frame ground connection works better than a direct battery connection. I frequently used it with an inverter at airshows, running my scanner through a guitar amp for clear communications. Impressively, it powered the amp for about 3 days (8 hours daily) before needing a recharge. Enduring harsh winters in my truck, it remained reliable when I needed it most. Unlike similar models, it lacks unnecessary features like a small air pump or work light, focusing on delivering power efficiently. While it lacks USB ports, a simple adapter in the cigarette lighter port suffices. It has also been a lifesaver during blackouts, illuminating lights effectively. This jump starter truly delivers power on demand without any frills.

Short length on cables
Hold power & jumpstart great I would give it five stars, but the length of the cables are very short and that’s the only disappointment I would have

Handy battery pack for many uses.
After about a year and half use. There are a few design flaws worth noting: 1- Minor annoyance at times, the clamp jaw hinge tends to pop apart if you are not careful. Mine have gone back together with no problems so far. Good part is the clamps are standard bolt on cable clamps and you can swap them out 2- the storage hangers on the sides are practically worthless as they will break off almost immediately if you use it at all. I trimmed off the remains and drilled a hole through the center of the hanger mount. Put in a 3/8 bolt double nutted inside and out. Fits right back in the housing and works better. 3- The unit says in manual that it should be recharged after every use and stored on charger but we all know in real life that’s not going to happen all the time. After a couple of weeks rolling around in back of truck and getting left hooked up to a machine over the weekend leaving the unit COMPLETELY DEAD. At this point you will find that the included charger cord and Onboard BMS WILL NOT RECHARGE THE BATTERIES! A fix for this is to use a NON-Inverter 4amp pulse charger hooked to the clamps (Overnight usually works, from full dead). This will get the pack back up to a voltage that will allow the charger to take back over.. Make sure to unhook the wall charger while using a separate charger. Other than that, mine still works great! It will jump start almost anything from construction equipment to your cell phone. And used as a alternative Emergency power source, it will power the 12v on my 30a RV camper all weekend. (Mostly overhead LED lights, a phone charger and a 12v fan)

Perhaps seller issue? Selling used/returned/old units...
I'm wondering if there's a seller issue here or what. First one of these I had held charge for years and worked unbelievably well, would not quit, just worked amazingly. I had it for near a decade. This newer one didn't hold charge well and is completely dead needing to be replaced. Used it probably 1/10th as much too. Others have shown reviews where they got used ones and I'm wondering if maybe someone isn't selling returned/used/old units. First one was amazing, at this point I'm going to try one of the new shiny lithium routes and see how disappointing they are before coming back.
