I use mine in the Gulf of Mexico. My Anchor is connected to the lead chain & then to the 5mm cord. P.S. I found out in using the guide during retrieval the cord rides up the roller side & gets stuck between the roller & the metal bracket. This happened every time. I cured the problem with a short PVC tube mounted on the loop.
