I have had my Mt Diablo chisels for a couple of weeks now and am happy with my purchase. They look and feel very nice and the tool bag is a quality holder as well but the best part is that they work better than they look. I like that they are longer than most other chisels I have used and appreciate the edge they hold after sharpening. Would buy again

I have to say that I am super impressed with the Mt Diablo chisel set I recently purchased. I was looking for a travel set for when I go to job sites and chose the MtD set because I liked the bag and the other reviews said that when sharpened they were nice.They were not wrong, these chisels are substantial and handle and feel just as nice (I wont go so far as to say better) than some of my much more expensive chisels. They are sharp enough to shave with and are turning out to be real work horses. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good set of chisels without spending a ton of money!

Visually I love them. They come super sharp. But once I got them on the job I found they chip/dull very quickly :/ I was just taking a 4 in. section out of timber strand and had little pieces of the blade missing.

These are decent chisels with tips ground square and a good shape for general woodworking. The first picture shows a comparison to a Narex chisel, the gold standard when it comes to budget chisels. The fit and finish could be a little better. While the cutting edges are fine (and that's the most important part), there are some irregularities, as shown in the pictures. The handles are nice for the price, solid and chunky and fit well in the hand. Personally, I'd pay a little more and go with Narex, but these make a good backup set for the price.

I'm really impressed with the quality at this price point. Came out of the box decently sharp, a little time honing and they were slicing end grain with ease. Would definitely recommend!

I am happy with the product. I like the quality of the chisels, the tips are nice and sharp and appear to be be very well made. The wood handles are solid and I really like the brass ring on the end that will prevent splitting when I hit these with a wooden or rubber mallet. I highly recommend this set.
