Very thin jacket, but works well for welding and grinding to keep sparks off my normal clothes. I have long arms but the jacket arms are relatively long and when used with welding gloves, my skin isn't exposed at all. Jacket folds up very small so it's good to take with you on the road. I am able to fit it inside my welding mask which protects the mask a bit and gives me a place to keep the jacket. Jacket is comfortable and I ordered up a size on purpose to give me a little more room to move around and it's been perfect, not too baggy at all. Jacket seems well made, no stitching coming loose or poor workmanship like I've seen on other lower quality welding jackets. Good option if you want more movement than a leather apron, may not be enough protection for big welding jobs but I'm just using this for small stick welding in my garage so it's been great. Looks a lot like a normal jacket so it could be good if you need to weld but also interface with customers/clients without removing a big apron.

I just got my welding shirt today. I could not be happier with it!. I would like to address some of the complaints on these reviews. This is a heavy linen shirt. It will not repel heavy sparks or splatter. I am going to have mine heavily starched Then it will offer more protection. I'm going to use it for MIG & TIG aluminum on a bench. I'm more concerned with arc burns. If you are going to use 6010 rods on an overhead weld you will need leather! Extra large is extra large. I wear extra large and this fit perfectly. It does not smell bad. It has no smell. The snaps are tight. Hold the shirt close to the snaps and it will come right apart. Snapping them back is easy. There you have it. I'm going to order another one.

Pros: Reasonable price. Fit is OK. I purchased a size up to get extra space so it would fit over a sweatshirt. Relatively comfortable. Cons: Very light denim like material. Doubt that it would protect much if sparks or hot particulates are flying around. Not any thicker or tougher than my long sleeve jean shirts which are not welding shirts. May no be suitable for heavier welding usage. Will keep for light, low exposure welding applications.
