NEW! Fruit of the Loom Best Collection - the jersey short now looks new longer. This garment features deep pockets, reinforced seams and stays super soft, wash after wash. With an adjustable elastic waist, this is an easy every day choice.

Good Fit, not as expected
The sizing and fit of these shorts are right on. in-seam length is good for a 6 ft man. Unfortunately the Q&A is not accurate. It says the waist band is wrapped in fabric. It is not. That is a deal breaker for me. scratchy and grippy waist is extremely uncomfortable unless you tuck your shirt in (See pictures).

Not what they used to be - Buyer beware
Ordered 2 pair on 4-16. I have had them for almost 2 months. Been worn 4 times and washed 4 times. Both are coming apart at the seams and pockets with thread just pulling out all over the place. Now they have holes in them. I have had this brand in the past and they lasted for years. Not this time. Won't buy again.

Paper thin
Wow - these things are THIN! I've purchased these in the past and was pleased. This go-round though, there is a noticeable quality difference. Even though they are black, the material is so thin you can read through them. Fruit of the Loom used to make a quality product. These simply do not measure up. A pair of PJ shorts at best. No way am I wearing these in public.

Thin as lingerie and make you look 50yrs older than you are
Bought these for workout shorts. Seriously as thin as any underwear you'd buy- and certainly as concealing. These fit horribly. Elastic isn't taut enough to actually do any good. The pockets are so tiny that when you put your hands in them, they pull the shorts down. Seriously the worst excuse for shorts I've ever seen.

This Girl is Stealing Your Shorts!
A woman’s review: Yeah yeah I know they’re for men, but hey you guys get all the good comfy stuff... so I went ahead and bought them anyway. They fit great, loose, comfy. I live with with MS and wanted something to sleep and lounge around in that was straight up comfortable around the waist and not too warm. (Anyone with MS knows about that darn MS hug thing gets what I’m talking about.) I’m 5’8” and they are the perfect length, very light which is perfect for the terrible heat we’re having in the Southwest, and just overall a great purchase. Sorry guys, but I’m taking this one haha.

Reasonable Value for the Price, But a Bit Disappointing
For the price these are a reasonable value, but a touch disappointing. Like almost all of these types of garments now, the legs are way too long. You really can't call these shorts except insofar as the hem doesn't overtly come below the knee. The material is extremely lightweight and flimsy. Fine, if that's what you want. Almost impossible to find heavier weight fabric in this type of "short" now. They are a bit bigger than the F/O/L standard size chart. I ordered XL as I usually do for F/O/L products like this; should have ordered a L.

Not bad, a little small
I ordered these for my son to use as sleep shorts. I went by the sizing chart and ordered a medium. They do fit but wish I would have ordered the large, there is a drawstring on the inside he could have tightened them up with if needed. I saw a lot of back and forth in previous reviews about fabric type. I ordered black and navy and they are both a cotton polyester blend which is not an issue with my son. He likes the shorts because the waistband is comfy and they aren't baggy. He is about 5"9 1/2 and they reach just to the top of knees. These shorts make good lightweight sleep / lounge shorts. They are , however, rather thin for anything else. My son wouldn't wear them outside the house. So... if you are looking for a lightweight cotton poly blend short, not too baggy for sleeping in or being a couch potato, these are fine.

Skeptical about the 100% cotton. But, I Have Lost Trust in Everything.
UPDATE: Just look at my picture. Holes forming along seam, with very little use, just sitting watching TV. All the rest of my review is still true, but the fact is, these will not last long - they are junk. Can not recommend! ...............They are comfortable. I REALLY like all cotton. Synthetics are not cooler, no matter how many sales people try to promote them otherwise. I bought the Trueroyal Blue version. They are marked 100% cotton. They may be, but they also look, stretch, and feel quite a lot like the 60/40 shorts I accidentally bought from another company. I think that these feel cooler, so that is the best I can say. Although, at a J C P, I have literally held identical product in my hand that simply had 2 different tags in them. One 100%, and one 60/40... I’m saying that manufacturers LIE! So, who knows anymore. (I would burn a pair just to see if they melt, but if they didn’t, I might lose a pair of cotton shorts.) One other oddity, my shorts came from UnbeatableSales, INC. They sent them with hangers, and manufacturers price tags on them. The price tags were printed with the price $5.44, and are the big Fruit of the Loom tags we see in stores. I was a little put-off by that because I paid $9.70 per pair. Hmmmm... guess my deal really was beatable! Overall, I guess I like them enough to keep them... at the price, with the skepticism. I just felt so uncertain, AFTER I got them.
