I have never owned a panini press, but my wife and children began asking for melts all the time. I purchased this just planning to use it for grilled cheese, turkey melts, hot ham and cheese, and tuna melts. It is more versatile than I expected and I use it so much now, which I never expected, that it I now keep it handy in my kitchen rather than being stored in my laundry room between uses. The digital temperature gage is very convenient. I have now used it to make sandwiches and quesadillas. I work from home and have used it to make a frozen hamburger patty and it came out perfect, even faster than I was expecting it to cook. I even did a steak on it one night when it was just me and, again, it surprised me how well it came out. I have been very happy with this purchase.

The only thing I don’t like about this panini press is that it doesn’t have a temperature adjustment. But it works just fine. It’s easy to clean and the cook time is ok you just have to keep an eye on it. The size is perfect for multiple sandwiches

Just what I wanted! We made Paninis for Mothers day and it was so fun! Buy the panini recipe book to go with it to make a great gift! Highly recommended.

Amazing product my wife cooks everything in it…. Good product for price

Decent for sandwiches. Not fun to clean since plates not removable. Wouldn't cook meat or anything simple because it would be a huge mess and better options. Next time I will look for removable plus perhaps a flat side and one like it has now. Can't imagine using it with opening 180 degrees.
