I purchased this Rub 'n Buff to add gold accents to a few home décor projects, and I was really impressed with the results. A little goes a very long way, so even the small tube lasted through multiple projects. The European Gold color has a rich, metallic finish that looks much more expensive than it is. It's easy to apply with a finger, cloth, or small brush, and it buffs out beautifully once dry. I used it to update hardware and add detail to decorative pieces, and it completely transformed the look. The finish dries quickly and has held up well over time. If you're looking for an easy way to refresh décor, furniture, frames, or craft projects without a lot of expense or effort, this product is definitely worth trying.

I got an inexpensive slim gold watch that I like a lot, but it looked a little cheap right out of the box — too shiny and a bit too yellow-y gold. This gave it a nice soft patina that made it look way more vintage and chic. It’s a small tube of product, but you need VERY little to get a slightly aged effect…I am fairly certain this little tube will last me for the rest of my life for any projects that might arise. The amount I used was about the size of a grain of rice. (Or maybe two, at the most). I trimmed a crappy small stiff paintbrush very short for application in order to get into the little crannies between links in the watchband, which worked great. I imagine I could do another fifty small items or more without issue, so when I was finished, I cleaned the brush and taped it to the tube for next time. Some other reviews mention that because it’s wax based, it can rub off on clothes or skin; once I gently buffed it after applying, I was happy to find that I had no issues with color transferring or residue. Very happy with the results!

It’s just what it says, rub and buff. Great product to use. Play with it, a little goes a long way, just enjoy.

Awesome stuff, however it never fully dried and even a week later still came off on my fingers when I touched the item.

My only complaint about this tube of rub n buff is that it seemed a little crumbly and I'm not sure it's supposed to be that way? I did sort of shake and knead it a bit before opening but it still came out kind of crumbly. Thinking it's supposed to be smoother and easier to apply. The color is really nice and it gives an antique brass finish. Be sure to buff with microfiber cloth just after you apply it in each section for slight shine, otherwise it will be dull,. A second coat may be needed. I used it on picture frames and even on a couple of metal pieces I had and it looks really nice and natural. The photo I posted was of a frame that I used it on that was a dark wood originally. Of course the color may vary in real life. It really can transform to look you're going for very nicely.

Was confused how to best use this at first but I figured it out, a little bit of an odor and slightly streaky but probably user error, I like the results and great gold tone!

Got this paint to paint a mobile arm for our nursery and the paint was really easy to work with. Painted the mobile black first then just used a glove and rubbed the paint in. Was a lot easier to work with then I thought it would be. This color matched out crib frame perfectly! A little goes a long way.

Was worried it would not be enough since it comes in an extremely small tube. However, a little goes a long way and it looks great! We wanted our frame to be a little less bright and it did the job.

I had a metal table that was starting to discolor, and I was able to restore it to its original color beautifully with Rub 'n Buff! The metallic finish looks fantastic, and the table looks as good as new. However, be cautious: do not let it come into contact with water. The table accidentally got wet, and unfortunately, it left a mark on our floor. So, while the product works wonderfully for restoring and enhancing the finish of metal surfaces, it's essential to avoid any exposure to moisture. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results, just be mindful of the water risk!

I was looking to change two lamp bases from silver to gold so thought I'd try this product. It worked a treat. I lightly sanded the bases and rubbed it in with a gloved finger, a little goes a long way. I'm delighted with the result. Now they fit in with my newly painted walls and colour scheme. Brilliant and so quick & easy to do. Well worth the money. I'm now looking for other things I can change 😅
