An honest review: The good and the bad I recently finished the book. I thought for quite a while about how to write the review because I want to help beginners out there, as I was once a newbie too! So, read on if you're thinking about purchasing the book.Let's start with THE GOOD.What I really liked about this handbook is the organized, yet engaging approach. The lessons are well-structured and easy to understand. It doesn't feel too formal or scholarly. It's like talking to a knowledgeable friend.Moreover, the book provides lots of information regarding learning Spanish on your own. There is a section about common grammar mistakes and how to avoid them, how to express yourself, and tips on how to write in Spanish. But if you ask me, I really enjoyed the part about basic phrases that you can use in daily life, like greetings and how to say "thank you, no problem.. etc."That's it for the good part. Now, let's get into the other part.As sweet as the advertised 21-day assurance can be, I don't think beginners can be fluent in just under a month. I till probably take at least 2 more weeks. I believe that learning shouldn't be rushed, you should too. Don't be hasty or pressured into learning Spanish. Take your time and enjoy every bit of it.I also noticed that there are bits of grammatical and punctuation errors (I found 4 in total in the whole book, so not a biggy). This can be a minor issue, but for a grammar cop like me, it bothered me a little. I hope the next edition will fix this issue.FINAL THOUGHTSOverall, I enjoyed reading this book. It's clear, easy to follow, and straightforward. It's a great introduction for beginners, but in terms of fluency, a bit more time and practice will be realistic.So if you want to start learning Spanish, this book is your best bet! Highly recommend this. Good luck!

Tons of helpful information and resources

This book does an excellent job of explaining in further detail a lot of missing elements that can be missed in regular tutorials. Thank you for helping me understand further.

I am retired and decided that learning a little Spanish would be a great way to keep my mind active and engaged. So far, so good. I’m not real far into the book, but it has challenged me a bit. And, I need that. Makes me have to really think about the proper pronouns to use and conjugation of verbs. I would recommend this book to those wanting to learn key words and phrases that would be fluent enough to carry on simple or very basic conversations.

Book is very easy for beginners

I am a hands on learner so the app was good that I was using but I needed something in my hands, this book was a huge help teaching me Spanish!

Good book. Easy to read but there a lot of errors in answer key section.

Ce livre explique très clairement et simplement. J'aime bien la structure, les exemples ainsi que les exercices.

I have already started learning Spanish with a teacher and an app and this book accompanies both very well. It helps cover some things i have learnt and helps clarify some words and uses. Will try the online courses next if i can login.

An excellent guide to learning Spanish. I have to go to Spain and I needed a book that would start with the basics and help me with the Spanish vocabulary. Thanks to this book I now feel more confident about the Spanish language, I absolutely recommend it!

Way too many errors in the answer keys. You'd think they'd have corrected these through their editing. Disappointing.
